Turns out this is out today! Anybody picked it up yet? I'll probably grab a copy tomorrow but so far it looks great.

Gah! Buying a game on release date for full price!? Perish the thought! I might consider it if it's a game released in horribly limited quantities, but so far I've had a terrible track record when it comes to guessing which games will unexpectedly vanish forever within moments of their release. Besides, I still have PW3 and 4 to get through - at least.
That said, the Flash demo pretty much sold me on this game and I will very much be keeping an eye out for the chance to get this at a reasonable price so I can append it to the end of my increasingly lengthy backlog.

SHIT! I had no idea this even had an official US release date yet. Please post again with your impressions after you've had some time to play it.

I knew it was due out today, but I am officially out of money. I'll pick it up ASAP, though - I think it looks most excellent.

I will be buying it tomorrow. I'm a nut for all things Ace Attorney, and this game having come from the same creator (and the Flash-based demo kicking all kinds of ass) motivates me to snag a copy as soon as is humanly (and financially) possible.

I recently saw the trailer for this game. It looks pretty good, I could go for a ghastly yet intense delight the next time I stop by GameStop or something.
Still so many awesome DS titles coming out, and this is truly an eye-catcher. A nice add to my collection. ;D

I saw a copy at Gamestop this evening. They had already stuck it down on the very bottom shelf, with all the other unloved DS games.

Well, given that I only have money for one game this week and 999 got a reprint run that's not likely to last, this means that I'm basically guaranteed to find Ghost Trick later down the line...

It's out already? Damn. I won't be able to get it for a few weeks.

Got it, finished it. It's full of excellent stuff, and wonderfully animated I won't say too much here, in fact the box and manual also intentionally tell you as little about the story as possible, but it's definitely one of my favorite DS games and adventure games. The whole 4-minutes-before-death mechanic really helps adding a sense of urgency but you can always retry, which is great, and some of the failure situations you can mistakenly bring about are very amusing.

I'm currently playing this game (along with Dragon Quest V remake for DS) and it's undoubtedly one of the most original games I've ever played and a must for all DS owners. Now it's included in my Top10 favourite games for DS.

I finished Ghost Trick today. I was so amused with this game that I want to start Phoenix Wright right now (I played the first one years ago but not so much because I stuck to the beginning so it's a good opportunity to give it a second change).
Now as about the reviews of Ghost Trick I can't understand about "the frustrating puzzles" they're complaining about. Even me which I suck at puzzles I cleared the game without the need of walkthrough - ok, I used it three times but only at the end of three puzzles and for points that I could solve myself if I had more patience). My point? This game can be enjoyed even from people like me which aren't so good with puzzles (and that's why I haven't finished Zak&Wiki yet since I don't want to use walkthroughts for this game).
It seems that lately reviewers are whining so much about games' difficulties even for games that have medium difficulty (like Hards Corps Uprising). And tha'ts why I'm afraid Ghost Trick will tend to be a little underrated and that's a shame for a game from the creator of Phoenix Wright series which has high popularity even outside Japan.

After beating the game one month ago or so... my only complaint would be that it's not letting the player actually play. At first it promises some decent and interesting gameplay by dragging Sissel into this blue world of the dead and then it just takes it all away drowning him totally in the sea of dialogue and plot twists. Don't get me wrong: it's amazing nonetheless 'cause Takumi's a genius when it comes to the plots and twists & turns, but still there's some decent gamemplay mechanics inside that aren't fully expressed via the game itself: it lacks the core. I know that is probably is just another visual novel from the creator of Ace Attorney but AA isn't nearly that interesting in terms of how you manipulate the character and his surroundings so the pain of not being able to really do that isn't that "big". Or something. Forgive me my mumbling but it's kinda late...
