And a successful night of SF3/4 was had. Jongoo's Fei Long cleaned my clock in 4 but I fared better in 3 with Ibuki and Elena. Good times.

Yeah, that was fun. Just so you know, SFIV has been my main game since Super came out. I use FeiLong exclusively on ranked. Though if you see my Sagat, he'll have a ridiculous BP since my friend comes over and plays as him and he's godly at the game.
I played 3rd strike but not nearly as much. Although lately, I'm feeling as though I invested my time in the wrong SF, there's something just so cool about 3rd Strike. I think it's still the pinnacle of 2D. While others have surpassed it in resolution, animation-wise, it's still the best. That was the first time I played it online and my only complaint was that it got choppy at times, I see now where the critics of GGPO are comin from.
After that session, I'm liking Makoto and Yang. I'll have to try Ibuki next time. Couldn't figure out Necro at all though, heh. Also, that was smart, creating a room with 8 private slots, I wouldn't have thought of that.
If any of you other guys are interested in playin, don't be shy! Between the PS3 and 360, I've got pretty much all the recent fighters.
Btw, Ace, were you able to hear what I was sayin on the mic?

I was actually very confused when somebody else popped into the room until I realized that 3rd Strike doesn't let you set the number of people allowed. I don't even know how I came up with that workaround. It literally just popped into my head when I was making the second room.
I'll need to practice more in SF4, I was leaving myself way too open especially when I don't connect with Gouken's hurricane kick. My only gripe with 3rd Strike's netcode is that it completely destroys wakeup move priority and that one match where the game rolled back a split second after I landed the killing blow.
As for voice chat, I dunno what you were using but I was talking through the Playstation Eye. I don't even know if the games support it for voice chat but all I could get out of you were the cries of defeat and one barley coherent sentence when we first started the SF4 room, also some whistling maybe? I might have screwed something up in the chat output settings from when I was trying to use a headset.

HAHA, "cries of defeat". Yep, that's what they were, though it's still funny to hear them called that. I was just using a plain bluetooth headset. Uh, and yeah, sometimes I whistle along with whatever's playing in the lobby menu.
Yeah, some funky stuff happened in 3rd strike. Must be the limitations of GGPO.

If you can add me that'll be cool.
PSN: CT602 360: CT602
I've been playing alot of fighting games online as of late, but I have some co-op games to work with as well. I mainly chat through MSN and AIM, and most often on the PS3 since that's what the majority of my friends own. I jump on the 360 when someone asks me to.
PS3: SSF4 AE UMVC 3 KOF XIII (although I really hate the netcode) Blazblue CSEX (and CS) Street Fighter 3: Third Strike Arcana Heart 3 SSF2T HD Remix Puzzle Fighter Worms 2 Dungeon Defenders
360: KOF XIII KOF 98UM KOF 02UM NeoGeo Battle Coliseum (I REALLY want to play this more) Garou: Mark of the Wolves Virtual On: Oratorio Tangram Guardian Heroes
Gonna grab Virtual Fighter 5 and Guilty Gear when it gets released on PSN in the next few months. I do have GGPO as well but I rarely use it.

I suggest using Skype for PSN gaming. It's much better than whatever the games default to.

Looks like Demon's Souls is going to remain up indefinitely. Neat.

IT'S TIME FOR SOME FRIEND CODES, DUDES!
For the DS:
EDIT: PM me if you want them. Security reasons, y'know.
If you expect to see anything creative on my WarioWare D.I.Y. Warehouse, don't. All I'm really proud of is of some comic and a game version of the Monty Python foot. Also, Tecmo Bowl and Tony Hawk's I may not be able to play as they both gave me a connection error after attempting to update something (rankings on the former, Community section on the latter)

Guys, some help please. I use my bluetooth headset to chat on PSN. Most people don't use it (can't blame em). Well, maybe for COD they do but I wouldn't know. Anyways, what's your guys' preferred method of communication? Sifting through met players and messaging sucks ass even with a keyboard hooked up. And for some reason, a player I just played against never seems to show up in the list right away. Ace suggested Skype, CT mentioned MSN and AIM. I have no idea how to make those even work with PSN. Sigh...damn Sony.

When he suggested those, I have to assume he's just got a laptop sitting next to his couch and he uses that to communicate.

I have my laptop next to me with AIM/MSN/skype. The only other thing you can use on PSN aside from a headset is the built-in chat room and inviting people to it. Basically you can see everyone's message pop up on the upper right corner and you can press the home button to get access to it, though not particularly quick given the PS3 interface. It's good if you're going to consistently chat with someone without a mic.
