I was just looking at a page that apparently had some kind of vaguely-official remix of the Jones in the Fast Lane theme (along with some SQ4 theme remixes). And now I can't find it anymore.
Does that ring a bell for anyone else? This is frustrating.

I think I talked about sim games in the "general discussion". As for Jones in the Fast Lane, it's not the first "life simulation as an actual person" ever (Activision's Alter Ego), but as a Sierra game, it looks pretty disappointing, shallow even. Kmart and McDonald's parodies? Yawn.
Good article, though, but might've been better as a YWK.

I haven't played though and don't really know much about it - what was the deal with it?

Basically, you have a bunch of different life stages, made of a bunch of scenarios. Every scenario has different choices that you can pick, which affect your stats. You can also get killed by a child molestor. ...It's... not the happiest of games of times, as you can probably tell, and it feels less like a game and more like some kind of early art game.

It was definitely someone's website, and it had URLs of a whole bunch of different pieces of music listed. I think I might have found it while browsing around after reading the Leisure Suit Larry article? EDIT: Ahh, of course! It was Ken Allen's new CD kickstarter. Now I can sleep. /posts/407541

Looks pretty cool jorpho. Old PC Sountracks don't get enough respect in the video game cover and remix community, so to see a offical work producing what appears to be very nice high quality music is a pleasure.

The first time I played it I was killed by that child molester. Took me a while until I wanted to play that game again. There's also sexual scenario's like finding a Playboy magazine, getting an erection at the beach and, if I remember correctly, discovering masturbation and by being a part of a literal "circle jerking". Definite article martial.

I had a bunch of screenshots of this game on my hd, including from the EGA version pictured above. Apparently, it doesn't use digitized graphics.
