One of my favourite arcade games when I was in elementary school was Teddy Boy Blues from Sega. One of the things I loved back then - and I still do - is the opening where a cute lady was singing - ok, not exactly singing since it was an 8-bit game - and the monsters of the games were playing the instrumentals. One of the most original and cute openings I've ever seen on a videogames, expecially if you consider the season it was released. And the melody is very catchy. When I played again this again on MAME today after years I noticed the name "Yohko Ishino"on the low of the screen. At once I wondered if it was a fiction name of real one so checked on Wikipedia ( en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Teddy_Boy_Blues ) and I found this: Then the next step was searching for the original song on YouTube which is as catchy as the instrumental version of the video game: How nostalgic...

Yeah, then they took the song out for the Master System version and changed the name to just Teddy Boy.
That title always confounded me as a kid (not the only one, mind you), and it all made a lot more sense after I heard about the song.

Huh, apparently the girl was the newscaster lady in "Godzilla vs. Destroyah."

Never even heard of Teddy Boy Blues before, but that's pretty cool.
