So! Try pronouncing the title of THAT, which couldn't even properly fit in the Subject line. (It translates to A Night Where Good Things Are Bound to Happen, according to the article.) This is a duo of Korean beat-em-ups based on a popular comic of the time, and is apparently quite good! We don't see much information on Korean (or other non-Japanese Asian games) so this is an extremely interesting read.

Holy crap! The first game looks like a lost SNK title, and its sequel is like it's been redone by Yumekobo (albeit looking worse). I would VERY much like to play both of these, but... well, "Eotcheonji" gets absolutely nothing in Google. So... erm... yeah. *cough* Subliminal hint.

The first game looks quite fun. Even the second doesn't look so bad :)

However, small note... on page one, you have Comic and Game cut scenes reversed so Comic shows over the game and Game over the comic ones

With this article and the thread on Korean games, HG101 might just become the number 1 English resource for non-Japanese Asian games. Unless there's a site I don't know about. I'm really pleased to see this kind of coverage, so well done derboo.

Also, were there ever scanlations of the comic done?

I think we're still a way from that yet - there's very little coverage of PC88/98/X68k/etc games beyond mentioning ports, and there's nothing on Chinese games yet.

Definitely heading in the right direction though :)

Yeah, I think for the main page it would be best to use the short form Eotcheonji... Jeonyeok. That's how it is mostly referred to at Korean sites, anyway.

Romanization of Korean is a beast of its own. If there exists any account in english elsewhere, it's probably written differently (I used the romanization advised by the South Korean government).

Pretty much, though I did see your post. I was planning to write on the first game, and only later found out its connection with Storm.

Probably not, even the only scanned Korean version I ever found on the net was very low-res (the few images I posted are actually from those files).

EDIT:

Oh, I just noticed that I made a small inconsistency with the romanization. "Choheun" should actually be "Joheun".

I agree, it would be quite nice to know where to obtain these, exactly.

Someone on another board was kind enough to help me out a little after my recent rediscovery of Storm at http://www.bomul.com/view/2829 , where you can download the demo.

The Hangul for Storm is 스톰 (which isn't terribly helpful, since it's a pretty common word).
어쩐지 좋은 일이 생길것 같은 저녁 is Eotcheonji Choheun Il-i Saenggil Geot Gateun Jeonyek / A Night Where Good Things Are Bound to Happen .
어쩐지 저녁 is the short name (Eotcheonji...Jeonyek, evidently).
T.G 엔터테인먼트 is TG Entertainment.

Now that I finally have a chance to read the article, I have to say that there's a lot of really weird grammar and word choices. I won't clutter up the thread with corrections. "The graphics are convincing, but not overwhelming"!?

Writing an article in a foreign language must have been pretty daunting! There were a few oddly styled sentences, but I'd say the English was better than that which I see on a lot of forums, populated by native speakers. So don't be too dismayed. :)
