hiddenpalace.org/Sonic_Month_2019Hidden Palace and Cutting Room Floor are showcasing early Sonic prototypes for a month. A stream for the earliest Sonic CD proto (December 1992) will broadcast. To compare, the earliest Sonic CD proto the Sonic Community has is from May 1993. www.twitch.tv/hiddenpalaceI find these things fun to watch, I hope we see something cool like scrapped stuff. EDit it is on now. Sonic CD .02 proto Palm Tree Panic zone used to go by Salad Plain early on. The proto is short only the first two acts followed by a "coming soon" splash screen. The layouts look quite different and the background is different. The game does have past and future implemented. Past PP has different music. It sounds more mellow.

Been bouncing between Until Dawn and God of War reboot (both ps4) this past week. Should be able to finish Until Dawn tomorrow. Really enjoying both, GoW even more so, surprisingly. Mighty return for the Series

Suprised no one here is talking about Disco Elysium, the CRPG of the moment that is not sci-fi or fantasy, but instead in a noir setting with some slight supernatural(kinda Lovecraftian) themes by the side as it revolves around solving a murder case and getting involved in a conspirancy, with the game almost being entirely dialogue based and almost all of your skills having nothing to do with combat or toughness at all.
Been playing it and it's great, plus, the writing is pretty good, the main plot is interesting and the sidequests do a good job of adding either more cynical elements or just some needed siliness, like making my detective embrace his inner dancer in front of some teens wanting to set up a drug lab inside of a Church and creating the future of dance in mankind in the process while being so great that the teenagers join me in an impromptu musical part while my serious stoic partner stares dumbfounded and ends up succumbing to the call of the dance.
Sorry, guy whose murderer i must find, i have to help these troubled teens find the right path in life through the power of DANCE!

I don't know, but reading about your partner eventually succumbing to the power of the dance reminded me of this bit from The Mighty Boosh: www.youtube.com/watch?v=1ldQggHj78I
In regards to playing games at the moment, I actually gave up on Tomba! There are parts of the game that I really dig, but I just couldn't get into it. I then tried playing Looney Tunes: Sheep, Dog 'n' Wolf/Sheep Raider, a 3D puzzle platformer where you play as Ralph Wolf (a red-nosed Wile E. Coyote) and attempt to steal sheep without getting caught by Sam Sheepdog. It's a pretty cool concept for a game with some really good graphics and a very funky soundtrack, but it's not a game I'm really in the mood for at the moment. I'd definitely recommend it if you're into unusual puzzle-platformers or a LT fan, however.
I seem to be in something of a rut when it comes to getting into a game right now, which is pretty annoying because I've been busy enough with adjusting to college life and getting things done that I'd really like to have something to play to wind down for a while. Hopefully, I'll get out of that rut soon enough, but I'll have to keep looking for something in the meantime.
As an aside, to anyone who's got the recently released MediEvil remake for the PS4, collect all of the Lost Souls that have been added for this version. I'm not gonna say anymore than that, but definitely try to grab them all.

Finished Disco Elysium, and i heartily recommend it, even if you want to wait for a sale, just get it, the world needs more detective RPG's, particularly if they are well written.
Just a warning, do all the side quests you can till day 4, the game even warns you, starting with day 5 you are stuck following the plot and the few free time doesn't let you complete all the side quests as some plot events kinda change things around the world, granted, the game does tell you, but you can end up forgetting after the warnings in some of the dialogues.

Suprised no one here is talking about Disco Elysium Heh, my whole timeline was raving on about that game a week or so ago. Before they all fell in love with the lesbian ace character in Outer Worlds and only talked about her.

For the last couple of months I've been playing The Witcher 3, which was one of the biggest things on my backlog.
I think I'm getting fairly close to the end of the main story.
It's a really great game, easily one of the best RPGs I've ever played.

Just found out that the reason the Lion King game was so hard was Disney didn't want it to beaten before the rental period was up.

Just found out that the reason the Lion King game was so hard was Disney didn't want it to beaten before the rental period was up. Glad to know I wasn't the only one that thought of the game as reasonably "hard." Not Battletoads difficult, but difficult enough for a 10-year old gamer.

Honestly never thought The Lion King was all that hard. Might have taken two rentals though, so mission accomplished I guess.

Well, I read enough ravings about Crash and Spyro to shell out for Humble Monthly. They don't really explain the options all that well. I guess I can keep pausing as long as I want? Seems like a fine way to stay on their Classic plan forever and ever.
Now I just have to decide whether I want to pay $9 for Toejam and Earl.
