I wonder if Sega CD got the sequence where Reika gets her underwear ripped off by the dinosaur (as seen in the screenshots), and if so, why it wasn't noted by the censors. Then again, the early 1990s hearings had notoriously uneven coverage of games--why Night Trap and Mortal Kombat got persecuted while Snatcher, which was released around the same time and had a violent game with a hero who engaged in occasional sexual harassment was almost unnoticed. The pants-tearing dino sequence is the only naughty bit still in the US Sega CD version, though the English dub changes her line from "Ecchi!" to "Stop it!". Every other wardrobe malfunction was either removed or altered. Another removal and oversight on my part was the Japanese Mega CD intro with lyrics, vocals, and credits, all using the redrawn art and not the dithered compressed reuse of the arcade intro for the Western releases : www.youtube.com/watch?v=4TaqylnjSCU

Sorry for thread resurrection, but intresting note. A copy of the VHD copy of Time Gal with the MSX cassette has appeared on a Japanese auction for over the equvalent of over $1000. buyee.jp/item/yahoo/auction/b190466374 What's nice is the boxart exclusive to this VHD version. Unfortunately, this is one of the few images decent enough that showed the cover. I tried to adjust as best I could: Also since the article publication, a recording of the VHD demo has surfaced, taken with as good as equipment as possible if seems. According to sources, VHD can degrade over time like any vinyl, so images lose their near-LD pristineness.

So the forum member that posted this (no longer with us, thankfully) likes to go onto 4chan and talks about how much he hates this place (and me personally). In the meantime, he also said that he edited the image in question. That's patently false, since it actually originates from this Korean blog: m.blog.naver.com/PostView.nhn?blogId=akrsodhk&logNo=40163520854&proxyReferer=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.google.com%2FIn the text, the author states that this is unlocked by beating the game on the hardest difficulty mode without continuing, then sitting and leaving the ending idle for 10 minutes. This is all believable (this was rumored long before, back when the only source was the Digital Press days) but has anyone else confirmed this, or has a video of it?

Time Gal is a fun game. I've only tried the Sega CD version though. Omake
