Sega's games on the XB were one of the main reasons I wanted one. Jet Set Radio Future, Gun Valkerye, and Panzer Dragoon Orta were all awesome. If the system didn't have these games it would not nearly be as good.

The REAL question we should be asking is;
WHAT IF THE SATURN WAS A BIG SUCCESS IN THE STATES???
We would probably have a whole different industry right now.

You have to consider that Sega's games are pretty poor sellers on XBox, and most of the people who are crazy about the system couldn't care less about Sega. Microsoft is making it because they're catering to America gamers with American tastes - the sorts that want to shoot shit, blow things up, and play football. Hmm, I don't know about that.... I brought an X-box waaaay back in the day purely for the Sega titles... all the Sat/DC franchises I wanted were heading there... JSRF, Shenmue 2, Sega GT (yeah, i liked it on DC), MSR, Panzer Dragoon etc... that and the fact I totally held/hold an grudge against Sony (for 2 broken discmans, kicking my poor Saturn's ass out of the market, and the god-awful DualShock controller), and refused a PS2. (... still doesn't stop me from loving my Tekken: DR and OutRun 2006 C2C for my PSP though ...)My DC is still going strong and one can only wonder at what could have been... still what did come out was particularly strong... and the DC still holds one of the best ratios' of 'A++' to 'insert crappy title here' games for a console. The DC deserved so much better. No console has ever made such a strong first-impression on me, then preceded to continually blow away my expectations. And anyone who has ever owned a Dreamcast will say the same.

You can't give your personal opinions as examples when we are talking about sales. Sega's X-box games sold bad and that's a FACT.

indeed. Most of the marketshare is generated by the person who throws in about 2 hours of Halo with his teammates after a whole weekend of something like Football.

you know I know a ton of people who own Sega's XBOX titles. I my self might own almost all of them save for a few games.

I didn't mean for it to sound like i was using my opinions to dismiss the fact... I know Sega titles sold terribly on the Xbox. I was trying to suggest that there's more to the average Xbox gamer than wanting to blow shit up and play football. I'm in Australia, and most of my friends have X-boxes - we'd hardly fit into the above mentioned Xbox demographic. I understand and respect your arguement, and I agree on most levels. But to say the only reason Microsoft is enjoying the relative success that it is, is because it's catering to the lowest common denominator, then I'd have to disagree. But I should stop here coz it's totally off topic
