Data East created two cowboy characters to be mascots, and ended up creating two completely different games: Spinmaster, a straightforward Neo Geo action-platformer, and Dashin Desperadoes, a less straightforward split screen action racing game.

Looks like every instance of "dd" in the article got replaced with "Dashin Desperadoes" at some point.

"Not Dr. Wily" appeared in some other Data East games as well, in Joe & Mac Returns as well as one of the Tumble Pop games if I remember correctly.
