Hmmm... I gave Google a quick search and found this: www.arcade-history.com/?n=desert-breaker&page=detail&id=3711The trivia sections suggests that the game did in fact see release. However, I'm not one to trust something because I read it on the internet. Especially just in a trivia section. It does make some sense, but further investigations are required. The lack of any photos of a flyer, marquee or cabinet is suspicious. I'm inclined to agree with Sotenga that it may not have been released at all. At least, not commercially. Another telling sign is that the coin1 button does not add credits to the game. Is this normal for System 18 games?

The trivia sections suggests that the game did in fact see release. If made in really limited quantities and otherwise impossible to find, it's probably because they only ever did some location tests. So technically a release, but not really.

I played this game in an Indonesian arcade back when I was little, 100% sure of it. I heard in Japan this game was exclusive to some kind of SEGA arcade thing like Bullet and Laast Survivor.
