Good News! The much-sought after and the very first South Park game ever completed...well South Park for GBC has been finally dumped online! Thanks to a member of LostMediaWiki. Here's some footage of the .ROM In other but unfortunate news in regards to the subject: Don Russell, friend of a community member at ASSEMblergames passed away but before his unfortunate passing against cáncer, he asked A Murder Of Crows to make .ISO files of the many builds that he had, including the unreleased Saturn port of Crime Patrol, for everybody. So, i'll leave a link to the download page that A Murder Of Crows provided. Rest In Peace good sir, your good deeds will not be forgotten... Index of /don/saturn

This game was for sale in a lot, unfortunately somebody was quicker than me and took it. That's a PC game (or at least, this was in a pc games lot) Can't find anything about it online. The company logo seems to be 'AS', does somebody know them? Have they made other games? Since it's in a big box, it's probably a 80s/90s game or really early 2000s The game title seems to be only "Athena" which doesn't help... Here's a picture of the whole lot: i.imgur.com/hiwgaXx.jpg

Nothing is impossible, the characters are kinda similar and even if it was not the case, we've seen cover art with little to no links with the actual game in the past. But I still doubt it's an obscure release of that game for two reasons: 1- The font used in the title are different from the one used in every known release of SNK's Athena > www.mobygames.com/game/athena/cover-art2- I know my picture is small and a little blurry, but I don't think there's any SNK logo on the cover. Nice to see you're still around btw!

This is the Athena character, the logo matches up: www.dynamite.com/htmlfiles/viewProduct.html?CAT=DF-Athena

Which logos matches? The title fonts looks similar, but they're not exactly the same... Also, the character of the Dynamite comics is blonde while the one on my picture has red hair. As for the ESRB rating, well spotted, but if it's a title released before 1994 they didn't had those and even then, I know a bunch of games released after that year with no rating whatsoever...

LOL all games popup soon or later. I always wondered why people are so obsessed by roly poly titles. Athena for 5$ is no longer available. I ask if someone here bought it to share a dump please.

peoples are obsessed with Roly-Polys because it was made by Osamu Sato, like Chu-Teng. Which, if I remember correctly was the first game to popularize this quest for lost games.

I didn't because it didn't seem like it was actually a game, more like a screen saver or something (and also concern whether it would even work on anything but ancient Windows). EDIT: I found another listing and just went for it. Might as well. Will report back when it comes in.

OK, my CD came in today. Surprisingly even though it was designed for Windows 98, it installs and runs just fine in Windows 10. It is a combination between a screen saver and a "game", you control Athena by pointing and clicking to destroy enemies (there's only one type). The goal isn't actually to kill the enemies, though, but rather tear up your desktop. Once you've destroyed 60% of it, you reach a new level and a new weapon. You start off with just kicks (and I think the fireball) but then graduate to swords and other weapons. There's no life meter so there's no way to lose. It's nothing exciting but it's a remnant of that weird late 90s era of Windows where there were all kinds of applications that let you "play" with your computer, when that was still a novelty. I zipped up all of the contents of the CD, which you should be able to use to install. It includes whatever other software (crossword puzzles?) were on the disc. www.hardcoregaming101.net/athena_desktop_warrior.zipAnd here are a few images
