Right now Video Game Collector is all I get, and, really, that's all I need. Sure, I'm biased because I write for it, but even without my work, it's a terrific magazine. Its ratio of old to new suits my tastes (that is, with a dominant focus on older stuff), and the writing quality is so good it makes me worry that my stuff doesn't live up to the quality of everybody else's work. o_O I'm practically the only person who hasn't created some big gaming web site or wrote for other magazines/books. Plus the price guide is invaluable.

Seconded. Gamepro is the biggest piece of shit ever. it is god-awful. I get it free and the newest came yesterday. I spent barely 5 minutes flipping through the 136-ish pages before I dumped it out. The paper quality is as pitiful as the magazine.

Furthermore, I wonder how a magazine that bad can be around so long. I mean I loved Gamefan and that mag died out way too soon. I don't even know anyone who reads Gamepro and I've heard of gamers who's heads exploded after reading that crap. There may even be a Youtube vid of it....

I can't believe I forgot about this, but NextGen was the baddest ass vg magazine ever. I wish that mag was still around.
