I don't understand these games. A lot of my friends and classmates can be weird differently but none of them pretend to be a warship o3o

A 2D platformer in a 16 bit style that looks lovely - it's not a generically "retro" themed game, it looks like a lost SNES game. Beside the Kickstarter being successful (10k out of 95k they seek, after the first 24 hours), level design will be what makes or breaks it.

So...a Western ripoff of Kantai Collection basically? Personally, I find the concept (of both) pretty tasteless and offensive. Like, yeah, let's portray the Imperial Japanese Army and Nazis as cute anime girls, great idea. Never mind the atrocities that were committed with the real-life warships. Hetalia: Axis Powers was also based on WWII but I haven't seen anyone complaining about it. Except from Korea: www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2009-01-15/japan-kids-station-cancels-its-hetalia-anime-runYou obviously haven't seen the stirs amongst Americans involving people dressing in Nazi uniforms for Hetalia cosplay at American conventions. Relatedly, as far as Kantai Collection and this Western ripoff go, it could be far worse. Google "Barbarossa Kickstarter" if you can survive being offended.

The name "Barbarossa" already set off red flags. I regret googling this.

Wow, amazing, I also like how it gets spread out through various sources and gets the attention it seems to deserve.. Though to me it looks and also sounds closer to an Amiga than a SNES title;)

The video is pretty bad, but I'm honestly curious to see how this is. It would be nice to get a Super NES copy of Super Noah's Ark 3D. The tiers system is really convoluted and messy though; it's like every single tier has a completely different reward. Some of them I find more appealing than others.

People put $20,000 into this? Really goes to show the weird niches that exist on the internet. I'm going to blame AVGN for this one.

I mean, didn't the cheetamen 2 kickstarter go through with lots of cash as well?? And that was only for a fixed version of a shitty game on an NES card.....

An game boy inspired Metroidvania, it allows you to play with color and black and white graphics, actually looks good.

Anyone played Legends of Eisenwald?
I'm backing Eisenwald: Blood of November which is going to be made in an improved version of LoE engine. It's a sand-box style Turn-based strategy / RPG.

Rad Rodgers, brought to you by Interceptor Enterainment, creators of that Rise of the Triad remake which I still kind of like, somehow, and Bombshell, which I'm pretty sure nobody likes. They seem to be unsure whether they want to be an Apogee-style platformer, or a total homage to Good Amiga Game Ruff N' Tumble. Also featuring: Swearing! Heck, I'll probably buy it.
