I'd like to interject and give a friendly reminder to those of you planning on joining the call: show courtesy to the other people talking, don't talk over other people, don't interrupt other people, don't start talking until the person currently talking is finished talking...you get the idea.

As a heads-up, I'm optimizing the video file right now, and hope to have it uploaded tonight or tomorrow morning depending on how well my attempt to learn karaoke subs goes.
Pokey says, "ROO FOWAD TSUII" (look forward to it!).

It was uploaded today, but now I have to go back and edit out the audio on The Terminator because of a copyright troll acting on Tommy Tallarico's behalf. So sorry for the inconvenience, but fuck them.

Under other circumstances I'd understand and let them get the ad revenue. But Tallarico is a notorious assbag and so is apparently the troll agency representing him; they're not getting a fucking dime out of this.

I love how I can put up MP3s of his music from a 20 year old Sega CD game and no one cares, but the MINUTE they hit YouTube it's all COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT.

I love how I can put up MP3s of his music from a 20 year old Sega CD game and no one cares, but the MINUTE they hit YouTube it's all COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT. My only guess is that he cares enough to pay an IP troll to cruise Youtube for shit but not enough to go through the effort of searching for other instances? Anyway this just kind of adds to my opinion that he's an arrogant choad. Between him and Dave Perry, having Game Fan kiss your ass religiously for five years seems to give you an inflated sense of self-worth. Anyway, I'm waiting for the 32xTravaganza to finish processing but for those of y'all that care, I'll have it re-edited and hopefully uploaded (or at least uploading) by tomorrow. Sorry for the inconvenience - and it will be worth the wait, Bobinator seriously did a great job organizing and running this one, and all of our guest hosts were fantastic and provided a ton of insight.

It happened again; however, it was because I chose to fill the dead air with some arranged Namco songs and they were flagged.
Also I'm noticing that if the "processing" portion of your Youtube upload is going really slow, it means that you're going to get flagged for a notice. Any truth to this?

Were they the Technic Beat remixes? If so, you've earned my respect. Even if they weren't, I'm sorry to hear. I can't wait to see this one!

Nah, they were just from Namco Sound Graffiti (volume 2 and 4, respectively). I put in the Bravoman vocal themesong because it's really silly and it matched up with the footage from the Terminator movie at the beginning of that part creepily well. Interestingly enough, though, the Scitron "Best of 1988" Splatterhouse medley was not flagged... Thanks for showing interest though, and I hope you enjoy it! - it should be up by tomorrow morning assuming the edit output doesn't crap out. We had some REALLY great stuff from the guest hosts especially, so look forward to it!

Yeah - I've been flagged before for including Namco music in a video. Strangely, it's ONLY ever Namco; very few other game music companies from Japan have bothered flagging soundtracks. On the other hand, Western soundtrack folks tend to be pretty rough with the flags; I've gotten a few flags from Synsoniq and some from Frank Klepacki's representative, but the only time I've ever had a video muted was because I had a David Arkenstone track in a credits sequence.

About 2 1/2 hours in (just started the Soul Star bit), and I'm enjoying it... wish I hadn't missed the stream! I'm looking forward to seeing what everyone has to say about Eternal Champions. It's actually a good fighter for the time, but holy shit the fatalities in that game are incredibly fucked up.
