There was Toshinden, but the PC version didn't drop until 1996, and well, Toshinden didn't exactly age gracefully.

The Mortal Kombat ports on PC were good, and there'd eventually be a port of Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo that was probably the best version you could get until the Anniversary Collection. If we're talking original fighting games, however, you were basically stuck between this and Sango Fighter.
And nobody prefers Sango Fighter.

I think there's a port of Samurai Showdown too. No idea how playable it is though.

I think there's a port of Samurai Showdown too. No idea how playable it is though. There's a Samurai Shodown II port, although like many of the other console-to-PC ports that GameBank/CyberFront released, those didn't come out until the late-ish 90s (in the US/Europe, at least, courtesy of Interplay and Softgold) I also find it odd how pretty much all of those ports were developed by American companies (mostly Kinesoft) even though only a certain few saw release in the US, with the rest being released only in Japan and Germany. There was Toshinden, but the PC version didn't drop until 1996, and well, Toshinden didn't exactly age gracefully. I still say that the only thing that was worth it about said port was Earthworm Jim.

FX Fighter is okay, but I think Virtua Fighter PC was released the same year? And that one's miles better.
As far as mid-90s DOS fighting games go, OMF2097 is easily the best one other than Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo and Mortal Kombat 2.
