Anybody else feel like hardly any good games were released this year and all of a sudden great games are coming out and hitting your wallet like a monkey on a coconut? So many good titles are coming out now and all the way into January. I have to buy the Wii on Saturday night so I have to postpone many of the great games that I've wanted for months, namely FFXII, Every Extend Extra, and Genesis Collection. Post your personal woes here.

I'm a little short on cash at the moment, but I've got enough to survive the winter with at least what I want the most. I'm not sure about the summer, though. The local slaughter house is doing this joint thing which means they're closed for the summer, so I have to find myself another source of income.

It sucks to because I only get four or five games a year and since my limit for christmas is 200$ I'm thinking "Should I get FF12, PSU, Okami, PoR?" Or "Should I get a Wii and Redsteel/Zelda?

15's a great age for videogaming, bad age for financial Independence. Okami is nr uno on the list, complete with the usual random purchases (how's trapt btw, worth 20$?). I'm gonna give the Wii a wait-and-see approach (will defiantly buy one, but not for it's launch titles), and I'll pick up a PSP and/or a DS one of thees days (when money starts rolling in again).

I think I'm going to go with wii and the redsteel/TP combination. I've got some extra cash from relatives too, So I'm also getting a bunch of "Essential Marvel" series comic books and a few statues

Wish I had the resources available to get all the stuff that's come out this year. With luck, I'll be able to buy some of the titles by the end of the year (and a Wii, if I'm lucky), but I can't guarantee anything, which sucks. Trust me, mazinsaga, being a poor college video gamer really sucks. You have no time for anything, and you don't really have much in the way of money, either. So you have to subsist on anything you get can online for free...
And by that I mean I've practiced a lot in F.E.A.R. Combat. Whee.

I remember I had the time to beat 3 games in a week when I was 15. Too bad I could never get new ones. I feel your pain mazinsaga! Anyhoo, I'm getting the Wii on Saturday at midnight and I have a difficult choice to make: I'm already getting TP but I need a second game. I keep back and forth with Excitetruck, Metal Slug Anthology, and Red Steel. What do you guys think?

..Trapt was mentioned...! Must talk about Trapt.
Worth $20, definately. Basically it's like a one player only better realised Trap Gunner. A little bit on the easy side in general (when you play it it's easy to understand why but basically either enemies aren't challanging enough or are too powerful). Though if you're like me and you love watching people fly across a room as you careful time a spike trap and follow it up with a giant boulder to the head you'll find a lot of fun to be had.
Resonable replayabilty with several traps to buy/create 2 sets of side quests and 3 unlockable super traps (With 3 seperate endings), biggest dissapointments about it is the restrictions of two enemies at once max and 3 traps at any ONE time (with only 9 loaded into inventory). Also the storyline is surprisingly decent for all it just being an excuse to play.
