So I'm finally in the market for one of these consoles, but I'm not necessarily sure which one I should grab. Is there anything that really stands out from either one of these consoles? I'm not particularly into FPSes, so exclusives on that front really won't sway me either way.
...And I hope this doesn't start a war. I'm just looking for some opinions from the gamers here.

Here's the confirmed exclusives that have my interest on each system.
One:
Scalebound Phantom Dust Gears of War 4 Halo Collection Raiden V Natsuki Chronicle Shooting Love Trilogy
PS4:
Bloodborne
My next console will be a One, especially since Kinect is no longer mandatory and my XBL Gold sub will carry over.

I don't own one but from what I see, and have been told by people who do have them, there are no system selling games yet, until developers stop making last gen ports at least. Especially since there's no backward compatibility, that's a deal breaker for me at this point. It would essentially just take up shelf space for me. So far the only exclusive that has my attention is Bloodborne, so I'm leaning to eventually get a PS4 in the future.

I'd suggest waiting a few more years, let the games on the newer systems stack up and make the choice later. It's not like the older systems have nothing left to play.

I'm gonna say PS4, it looks like it has the better exclusives and handles multiplat games better than the One

Look back at the XBOX 360 and PS3. I'm pretty sure their successors would repeat.

I would wait until 2015 at the very least, when some more games launch (and we learn more about what's coming in the future) before making a decision, as that's the year that the two systems' most promising exclusive games will start to make an appearance. Both next-gen consoles have very little to offer at this stage of the game outside of enhanced last-gen ports.

I'll probably wind up with both eventually. (And a WiiU as well.) But right now PS4 may be first, just because of Bloodborne.
If it's anything like this generation, my 360 barely sees any use, but it's occasionally worth having around.
But yeah, next year at the earliest.

I notice XBOX gets better stuff early on. It happened with XBOX 1 with Sega and Tecmo titles and happened to 360 with Namco and Microsoft JRPGs. Neither are particularly ripe, too much remasters and cross gen. It'll get better next year.

WiiU's starting to have enough titles to be appealing, but I'm waiting for a price drop.

Look back at the XBOX 360 and PS3. I'm pretty sure their successors would repeat. That's exactly my impression. My main goal lies in getting a Wuu first anyway. At least the games there look like I want to play them. But based on the statement I suppose I'll get a PS4 sooner or later too (well rather later). Mostly for JRPGs Right now I have absolutely no faith in the Bone, I got burned by M$ empty promises with the 360 and I won't let them fool me a second time.(I'd already get rid of my 360 if it weren't for the Banjos, Kameo and a few Arcade games) Maybe when they sell for around 50 bucks. But yeah, we should wait and see what the time delivers anyway

I'm also waiting a while before I buy one of the two (had a Wii U since day one though). I want to see where the chips fall over the next two years with their games and exclusives. Most likely, it will be PS4 because I am partial to the Tales series and other JRPG stuff. If they make a new WipEout I will be thrilled too. Most of all, if more Silent Hill games are made and they end up being exclusive, my money's on being on PS4.
The ONLY thing X-Box One has my attention with is Killer Instinct.
As it stands now though, there isn't a single game for either system on the horizon that I could give a care for.

Aside from the fact that Xbox One is apparently gonna get all the Shmups, I don't think I'll bother. Same goes for PS4 if we're two years down the line and it's still nothing but PS3 ports and games that were on Steam months before.

Bloodborne. It might get a PC port, but they're codeveloping with Japan Studio again, so it may not.
