This is the first time Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo is getting an arcade perfect port for home consoles (finally! after 12 years) Hate to be an ass, but I believe the sprite sizes are off in that port.

Went to Best Buy, they had the PS2 version but said the XBox version was canceled. Since Best Buy employees have, on average, 6 brain cells, I went to Amazon and ordered it. We shall seeeeeee...

Apparently the emulation on SF is jacked up. There are sound issues and the game is emulated for the "pressure sensitive" cabnet. To do a Hadoken you have to HOLD punch first, do the quarter circle foward, and then release the punch button.
Oh well. Glad I'm not buying it for SF.

Hate to be an ass, but I believe the sprite sizes are off in that port. As is the display resolution. Honestly, I can't understand how the word "arcade perfect" is used so easily when all these ports are always upscaled and filtered. The people who care about visual accuracy and whatnot just can't be happy with any of them, especially the Capcom ones.

I just want to say that Exed Eyes on the first collection is retarded to beat the game. I played well over an hour getting to round 17 and the damn game froze durying the boss battle. What a crock of shit. How long is this damn game. Its so repetitive.

I'm talking from a gameplay view. CCC2 has the only ST port that has exactly the same gameplay as the arcade version, frame by frame.

Ok, I figured it out. Once you get to round 16 and beat the final boss that they throw at you then just kill yourself and save settings and exit. You will get the unlockable content for beating the game. What threw me off is that the game kept on going to round 17. Still Exed Eyes gets repetitive after round 8.

Wow the Capcom trivia version of Quiz and Dragons is really cool. It's weird to be playing a game that's technically from like 1992 but they're asking you questions about Devil May Cry. Some of them are TOUGH too, but there's easy questions mixed in too.
I've never played Eco Fighters before, and it's really good - their needs to be more dual analog shooters, it's kinda like Forgotten Worlds except without the oddly proportioned humans. Plus the continue screen is more amusing than it should be - your ship is crashing towards the ground, all of a sudden it thinks of a chick in a bikini and regains the strength to go on.
I also love that despite the fact that you're fighting for the benefit of ecology, you're still going around shooting fish and stuff.

Kurt, just remember what Captain Commando always says: "Capcom's first game was Vulgus, released in 1984"

I got the game and I love it. BUT MY PS2 DECIDED TO STOP WORKING. Anyone know what it means if the power switch is not responsive? The light stays red, but pushing the power button(I have a slim PS2 by the way) doesn't do a darn thing.

Finally got the XBox version yesterday. Holy fuck is arcade Strider a bitch. Well worth it for a drunken night of screaming during King of Dragons and Captain Commando. Not enough hardcore a crowd for Super Turbo tonight, however.

I just noticed on Birdie's Britain stage in SF1. The bar reads "Blockheads" and on the far left, a poster for "Ian Dury". Ian Dury and the Blockheads were an early British punk/pub rock band.

PSX Strider seemed to have fewer glitches than this version, but meh, I now have 3 versions of Strider (and Strider 2 as well for PSX), seems as thugh that version is based on revision 1 as there's less music in it than the PSX Strider port. Lots of cool beat em ups too, also nice to see a couple of obscure Capcom games on this collection, not to mention having Black Tiger and Tiger Road at my fingertips, and on the TV for a change. Black Tiger and Tiger Road are still as hard as ever (and Street Fighter is still a huge cheeseball of cheating). Yes it took a week to get ahold of the game, because no one had it, found it at Target Tuesday, for they had 20 freshly delivered copies. Only game I have left to play on this collection is The Speed Rumbler, a game which I happen to like a bit, when your car is ready to explode, you can jump out and run on foot till another car gets sent to you, but being on foot means instant death, plus you don't move as fast (hey nice real life mechanics) on foot, can't remember if you can still shoot outside of the car.
