Loved it, but after the 2nd playthrough there's not much incentive to go on anymore.

Just another thing that bugs me a little.
I don't understand why everybody calls this game a "Metroidvania", I don't think this is the case. One definition of Metroidvanias is "side-scrolling games with large, open worlds, new areas of which are accessible only with certain items or powerups", but it does not apply to Rogue Legacy. Every area is already available from the start and there are no items or abilities needed to unlock them, plus the "abilities" work differently since the characters never use the items they unlock, that are passed to their descendents, and the physical traits are given randomly at the start of every new game. I think that calling it "Rogue-lite RPG platformer" will suffice.

It is called a Metroidvania? Really?.... Why? ......
I personally have to admit-for me it was way too hard. I could not get into it. But i like the concept.
