Also that third type of crystal is pretty cool. Each one gives you a new linking move that lets you do more combos and different kinds of kicks and such. It's not very complex but it's cool that the manual has a full combo grid and everything for the moves. I never realized that while playing the game. Gotta go back and explore this a bit... There's a couple other moves too that aren't in the booklet also - unfortunately, the only place I saw them listed was in an issue of GameFan, and it seems like they aren't on Gamefaqs either.

In the "Wrath of Malachi" article: "slightly leviate the problem" > alleviate I loved that game, and you presented it quite well. EDIT: Well what do you know, Game Center CX had and episode about the SNES game, and it's now been subtitled: www.sa-gccx.com/episode/nosferatu-part-1

Wrath of Malachi is a personal little favourite of mine. It's not a great game, not even a really good one, but it's enjoyable as hell. I was pleased as punch to see it re-released on Steam a few months ago.

Good article Derboo. Nosferatu is one of my favorite movies and SNES Nosferatu was a game I was interested in since seeing preview in EGM 92/93 and didn't get around to playing until around 2004. Semi-off topic: Who was the better Nosferatu on film? Klaus Kinski or Max Schreck? Schreck. Not a fan of the Herzog film. Defoe was good though too. I really liked Shadow of the Vampire.

Never got to see Shadow of the Vampire, even though I was looking forward to seeing it. Also the Herzog film should have been called Nosferatu: Port of Call, Carpathian Mountains. Oh wait, that's "Vampire's Kiss" with Nicholas Cage I'm thinking of, my bad.

I remember the 3D Nosferatu was reviewed by X-Play (I don't remember them liking it much, either), which is the only place I've ever seen the game mentioned, until now.

That's HG101's true purpose, after all - informing its readers of games almost nobody ever heard about, and sometimes giving in-depth detail about more popular games. The Mortal Kombat article (still one of my favorites up to this day) is a perfect example of this.

I am still sad about not getting an import copy of the Super NES game after I was fairly impressed by the screens in some German Nintendo mags (I believe TOTAL!)...
