Will Ladykiller in a Bind involve bondage in any way, shape or form? Because the title surely suggests it, at least for me...

A light amount, according to the initial concept art.

I wonder how important the brother actually is Knowing Love, he'll probably just be there to help make the main messages clearer.

And how is that affects her works? Why should I care about her sexual preferences?

And how is that affects her works? Why should I care about her sexual preferences? It makes it an unofficial hate crime if you don't like her games. Seems to be a popular tactic in indie game development these days.

Pretty sure it's connected to the following line "exploring themes of love, prejudice and how people communicate with each other." Showing that said themes of prejudice and love have a personal connection to her. It's not some tactic of "if you don't like her, you're homophobic", not sure why that was instantly assumed.

Pretty much the nail on the head. I recently come to terms with my own bisexuality, so replaying Love's games was a different experience this time around due to how much I've started to learn. I think the reason I liked the portions in Hate Plus with the lesbian couple was how it details some of their sex life and shows there's no real gender expectations in who is dominate or submissive; both assume the other is dominate. It's also not described in a very pornographic light, as the two go over their own feelings more than the actual acts that take place. I'd like to see more games explore sexuality like this. One of the few other examples I can think of is a free download game called "PISS" (in which the developer admits in game he didn't have a real reason for said name), though it's in an optional scene you can skip to follow the ongoing bounty plot. You can find the game here. www.rockpapershotgun.com/2013/01/16/fancy-a-decent-adventure-then-go-for-a-piss/

It was assumed because that tactic worked great for at least one other indie game. I probably need to try at least the BBS one out, weasel said the writing is good for her games and I respect his opinions on things. The art style for her games are a major turn-off though; she really needs to get a better artist, unless she's going for some ironic "bad VN art" aesthetic.

The artist is actually really critical of his own work and is trying to improve. I follow a few indie devs on Twitter and come across some really interesting conversations sometimes.

Ok if that's the case, that's actually pretty commendable and now I feel incredibly guilty. I dunno, I have a massive soft spot for people that are self-deprecating or tough on themselves.

You can also check non-hentai shoujo ai anime, manga, doujin and visual novels. They made them all the time since they sell like hotcakes. Even Christine Love follow the same philosophy, expecially at the art-style. Pretty sure it's connected to the following line "exploring themes of love, prejudice and how people communicate with each other." Or you could just say "a lesbian made a game about lesbians". It's not some tactic of "if you don't like her, you're homophobic", not sure why that was instantly assumed. Unfortunately that's the case. Just like with a certain game where its supporters accused people who found the game awful for being misogynists just because the creator was a woman. Also, just like it has been proved in other threads, some people use the tactic "if you like a game made by bad people, that makes you a bad person too". she really needs to get a better artist, unless she's going for some ironic "bad VN art" aesthetic. Touhou is to be blamed? Sure, Christine Love artstyle is not good but still way much better that most, commercial shonen ai manga and games.
