The Big Lebowski is good but very overrated imo.
I just watched Lensman: Secret of the Lens which is based on an old galactic epic and is a pretty dece action anime. Bonus fo HG101 it also features the ship that inspired the Vic Viper (according to stories)

Gera gera po. Gera gera po. This is simultaneously amusing and disgusting. What is this the 90's? This is like, 4Kids level. If this was 4Kids level, they would replace the original theme with a new, uninspired, forgettable rap song. Instead, for the Yokai Watch anime localization they decided to use the original, japanese versions for the songs but translated in english. Yeah, it sounds kinda silly in english yet I still love it, it's as catchy as the japanese one. Still for the anime itself, like in all anime, I prefer the original japanese voice acting.

Thanks for the advice everyone, it's a lot of help. I think you're too young to have witnessed how these things usually turn out. Historically, one party will get a President in office. That person will get eight years, then the nation will flip to the other side because everyone's too pissed at the last guy to give his party another shot right away. It's never about the actual issues or who would be best for the job, it's about being pissed off at the guy who was in office before. The Democrats are doomed in 2016. I think you're right, America does seem like it constantly flip flops back and forth between a conservative culture and a liberal one, America is a schizophrenic country, it's written into our DNA, we're really a couple of different countries rolled into one if you think about it, you have the south, the north east, the mid west and the west coast, all very different cultures which could all probably be nations unto themselves. You have the 1950's, a very, very conservative decade, the era of the "nuclear family" and McCarthyism, then you have the 60's and 70's, the reign of pot smoking hippies and "bra burning" feminists, then you have the Reaganite 80's which was basically a 1950's flashback and finally the 90's which were a return to more liberal mindsets, albeit milder. Then the 21st century began and shit got fucking intense, 9/11, The Coalition of the Willing, the Iraq war, which was basically "Vietnam 2: Desert Edition" and so on, it scared the hell out of people, I know it scared me, so now we're living in an intense flashback of the 60's and 70's, movements like feminism are at their most intense since they began in those days, what the 80's were to the 50's the 10's are to the 60's and 70's. So I guess that begs the question are things are going to take another rightward turn? It's highly possible, with Vladimir Putin seemingly doing everything in his power to start a second Cold War it's possible the 2020s will be an 80's flashback, maybe it's time to invest in members only jackets. The Big Lebowski is good but very overrated imo. I just watched Lensman: Secret of the Lens which is based on an old galactic epic and is a pretty dece action anime. Bonus fo HG101 it also features the ship that inspired the Vic Viper (according to stories) I agree, it's definitely a good movie but the worshipful cult it has seems a bit much, it's not even the Coen brothers' best movie.

The former would be a cure for insomnia, the latter a way to keep you up all night As far as smart phones and tablets though, I'm sticking with Apple. I had a Galaxy S2 and hated it as time went on, and it got glitchy as all heck. My wife had an android tablet and after using her iPhone 6, and my tablet she totally changed her outlook (her previous android based tablet constantly crashed and lost important documents) My friends have the same issue with their Google phones and Samsung. But I totally get the appeal of Android and how its much more open, but I'll never use those functions and I like having apps, notes, photos, etc., all sync effortlessly between devices. I plan on getting an MacBook Pro and Apple TV at some point in the future, so yeah I'm a hopeless convert. I'm pretty impressed that you found a game that's like fifteen minutes long to be sleep-inducing. Apple TV, like, I mean the idea is of course great but I feel like it's something where you can already get comparable service waaaaaaaaay cheaper through any other method. The entire selling point of the Apple TV is that "apps are the future of TV" but, like, they're already the present for anyone who buys a tv made after 2008. Like I've seen demos and such of it in action and it seems very redundant. Around when Steve Jobs died, there were a lot of rumors that he was going to announce a line of actual Apple tvs and that that was going to be his next big thing but that of course didn't happen. It would seem like the natural evolution of where tv is going now instead of having a Roku/etc. attached. Eh, the only streaming device other than Apple TV I would get is Roku. I've had several friends with Chromecast and it has often times been unreliable with stutter or bad connections, probably on their end I suppose. Again, it's the convenience of having it all connect easily, so I'm willing to make the investment.

Yeah you're right. Which is cool. It's just jarring to hear the Japanese go into the English. ON top of that the rapping comes off very "90's Anime Kewl Kid" to me. Even though I know there's cheesy rapping in the original. But of course like you I prefer the Japanese voices. For one, they're better singers in this instance.

I tried watching the Doraemon dub and it's painfully bad. It's sad, I'd like to support it but...

OK, I kind of want to get it out here. I'm an absolute piece of shit. I have completely unacceptable views that not even JoJo can get behind. But I want to be somebody these boards can accept. Without feeling like I've sold out, though. I need advice here... The way you're wording this makes it sound like there are views you have held for some time that you personally no longer find acceptable. If that's the case you can change your mind, that's not a selling out or betrayal or whatever. The concept of selling out is a myth. Sort of. For me, it's that I'd like to be more left-wing on certain social issues, but I feel like I can't be without having to give in on left-wing economic issues in order to cover funding...

Well don't worry about that. The average person isn't in a position to determine what the government spends money on. Just support what you feel is right.

Also, while I'm being a complete fucking asshole.
"I can't even" and "I don't even" are not sentences in any language.
Stop fucking acting like they are.

There's nothing wrong with that. We use labels like democrat/liberal/centrist/conservative/republican because it makes conversation easier but there never has been or will be a point where an individual fits neatly into any kind of political category. It's not like Infamous' reputation system or whatever. Well don't worry about that. The average person isn't in a position to determine what the government spends money on. Just support what you feel is right. I am, a King's Field anthology in every living room!

I would force Sony to produce a PS4 that's fully backwards compatible with PS1/PS2/PS3.

I would force them to call it the PlayStation 1234.

So Taxi driving is possibly the most cathartic job I've ever had. I get to yell at drunk people who haven't a fucking clue what they are talking about
