Never played that one, but I remember the cool European cover artwork from an ad in a German video game magazine. Nice to finally see what that was all about.

Speaking of European NES covers, when I first got into online Megaman discussions I always wondered why everybody hated the cover of the first game, since I thought that the excellent Euro cover art was also used on the other side of the Atlantic Ocean... and then I discovered the american cover. Needless to say, I still wish I didn't. As for Over Horizon, I've never played it but it looks good for sure.

I don't know if Sotenga wanted to be ironic when writing this, but the Vic Viper and R-9 CAN shoot backwards with the right powerups Great article, though! I didn't have time to play thks game during the recent GC9X on it and Steel Empire, but I'll surely play it now!

Nintendo Power actually reviewed this back in the day. It wasn't a big feature spread, but just a short Now Playing review. (Although, it did include a map of the first level, oddly enough.) There was also a secret code printed in the Classified Info section an issue or two later. I remember because I always thought the game looked really cool.
I would assume that the game was at least intended to be released in North America, but for whatever reason, was cancelled at the last minute. Same thing happened to Kung Fu 2, IIRC.

Chase HQ was also meant to be released, as Nintendo Power printed the level-select code for the game (including a US title screenshot with changed copyrights).
