Maybe I need to think of it differently, but I really didn't like the first episode of The Muppets; it was like Meet the Feebles lite. There was a lot of talk/innuendo about their sex lives that I never wanted to imagine much less hear about - but beyond that it was a very mean-spirited show, and Kermit and Piggy were fucking assholes. I know the Muppet Show had jokes the grown-ups were supposed to get, but kids could still watch it and have fun - I can't say the same about this.
Oh and apparently it's by people that worked on Big Bang Theory, big surprise.

That explains a LOT. Yeah, have to agree with all of your thoughts on it. Just tried way too hard to be The Muppets Office. Also, I want to take an ice pick to everyone on my FB timeline who keeps raving about Gotham.

I'll never get over the thing where whatshername popped out her eye and stepped on it, and then the guys that were going to harvest her eye like, got her a new eye for some reason? What?

Surprised she didn't take out both, what with having Willow and Jayden for her kids.

Gotham is terrible. Such a wasted idea.

Trevor Noah is doing a pretty good job from his first show taking over for Stewart. He's confident and cocky, which makes him instantly different from Jon in nearly every way and makes the show strictly his, though he's going to have to work on his voice gags. They aren't gelling with his confident aura so far.
Also, holy shit, Deray was on The Nightly Show. He made some damn good points too.

Stewart seemed rather arrogant to me for the past decade. Somehow he transitioned from "guy who makes jokes about politics" to "self-appointed judge and jury for politicians and the media".

That's what everyone made him out to be, but his humor evolved to constantly belittle himself. The rep comes from a mess of liberal kids cementing their worldview from his show and bugging the shit out of people without fleshing that new view out.

Can't speak for anyone else's opinion on him, just what I perceived from watching his show for myself.

I couldn't get into it for many reasons, his smugness was one of them. The juxtaposition with Colbert's easy-going, comedic brilliance just made Stewart all the more insufferable. His jokes were nearly always on point and extremely sharp, while Stewart was basically just saying, "Look what I'm upset about today!"

Jon Stewart wasn't funny when he was on MTV and he's not funny now. I could never watch the Daily Show.

Oh god, his awful Mtv show! I'd forgotten all about that. I really miss The State, though.

Oh man The State. I was pumped when they released the DVDs, but some stuff just wasn't the same without the original music tracks.

Yeah, just like Daria and Beavis & Butthead. Didn't realize it at the time, but the music was a huge part of each of those shows.
