Final Blow's arcade release date seems at the very least debatable btw. I looked some time ago into this and found that Taito lists the game as being released in 1989. The (European) reviews of the arcade machine I've seen so far are consistent with that.

After Buster Douglas lost to Evander Holyfield Sega didn't even think twice and IMMEDIATELY got Novatrade (and/or someone else?) to start working on Evander Holyfield's Real Deal Boxing which was actually really cool:

At the time, the company that developed Evander Holyfield was known as Acme, but it later became Malibu Interactive, who worked on a lot of Genesis (and other 16-bit) games like Batman Returns, Ex-Mutants, Cliffhanger, Dinosaurs for Hire, and a few others. Not exactly the most stellar output though.

Back in the day Storm (and more precisely a developing team known as The Sales Curve) was well known among Amiga fans for their competent arcade game conversions; games such as Silk Worm and Indy Heat are still considered examples of how to port arcade games.

That said, it boggles my mind how long Sales Curve (later SCi) stayed in business. Especially since they were the ones responsible for that horrible port of Double Dragon 3 for the GB...

I actually kind of like Final Blow despite all it's flaws. Plus, it's a Taito game... I tend to enjoy a lot of their arcade stuff and I still have a soft spot for the company.
I really want to try Prime Time Fighter sometime too, it looks like a pretty interesting boxing game. It seems a little silly but that also makes it look more fun.

Can't speak for the GB port but the Amiga version was another good job by them. Then again I always thought DD3 was a lousy game to begin with.
