Hoping eventually maybe someone can add a little bit about the history of the TV show itself...

Hoping eventually maybe someone can add a little bit about the history of the TV show itself... Or the pinball table, for that matter. =P

Is this a cameo of Gradius' Venom?

Is it me or are the NES screenshots stretched a little?

Ugh, yeah, they're all messed up. Since it's a linear resize they technically can be restored, but I have yet to find a software that makes this easy.

Is this a cameo of Gradius' Venom? It is clearly him.

Cool. I've heard about the game before, but I always thought it was just an average quality action game. Definitely more interested now.

"A professional wrestling-esque dramatised fictional version of roller derby,"
In briefer words, "roller derby". Roller derby's always been every bit as staged as rasslin. I remember my dad watching it on some cable station years before Rollergames came along and tried to take it to McMahon levels, unsuccessfully.
I did watch Rollergames, came on here after SNL. Draws had to be broken by one team's "gator skater" throwing the other team's guy into a pit where a very lethargic midsize alligator "lived". Very dumb, but overall it was an okay way to waste an hour of late night TV watching. It was better than the attempt TNN (now Spike) had with "Rollerjam", at least I liked it better.
