Some days you REALLY just can't get rid of a bomb!

Wow, was Enix on some sort of "weird era" during the late 90s and early 00s? The game does look fun though.

There's a series of well-regarded flash games out there by a Japanese developer called Dismantlement. They don't quite resemble this game... yet they are similar, and have a completely unexplained fascination with bombs. I never understood why they were there, but maybe this game is the missing piece in the puzzle? Now I don't need to wonder about Dismantlement's explosives, but I do need to wonder about this game's explosives...

A very nice article, but there was something I would have liked to see in there. The designer of this game, Kouchi Yotsui, that created Strider before leaving Capcom, also designed "Nostalgia 1907" when he was at Takeru. This was an adventure game with lots of text, similar to a visual novel. There were two scenes in the game in which you defused bombs that seem to have directly inspired Suzuki Bakuhatsu. I played the game and these parts were infuriating at times, the last one was very long and the final cable was determined at random. A image from the game (This is from the X68000 version I think, I played the MegaCD version) A youtube video with bomb defusing action (Jump to 24:12)

One of those games that will motivate me into starting PS1 importing.

Bombs everywhere? Must be a stand user nearby. (This looks ridiculous and fun, definitely trying it.)
