So, I recently played REHD and to my surprise ended up really enjoying it. I also have 0 (which I already played on GameCube, kinda meh), CVX, 4, 5, 6 and Revelations and I'm intending to get 7 and Revelations 2 (also the HD remakes of 2 and 3 when they show up). Any other side games and spinoffs I should consider? I like the Resident Evil Outbreak games, both file 1 and 2. They're only on the PS2, plus they meant to be played online which you can't do anymore, but I still find them fun despite some frustrations. Outbreak has a functioning fan server.

Oh hello! So we've got RE 2 board game now. It's got zombie Marvin Branagh in it and all that. With campaign funded in a week or so, "it looks like the party won't be cancelled"

I saw a video about this board game.

I saw a video about this board game. Did it too. It's got some neat ideas-like board's shape based on in-game mansion rooms layout and whatnot. On the other hand- i wish they gave some color to all of the characters, instead of being all red & blue/grey they could greatly benefit from full color spectrum, i mean, zombies could look the same, but retained full 'dress-code' etc.

I'm actually currently replaying the older Resident Evil games. I just finished up my Claire A/Leon B playthrough, and I still love Resident Evil 2 tremendously. I'm curious to see how the remake turns out. I'm not too invested in any particular perspective (whether it be fixed-angles or first-person or third-person), but I hope it recaptures the atmosphere and charm that made Resident Evil 2 what it was. I hope they don't just portray Leon as an action hero, and let him come off as a little overwhelmed by everyone and everything ignoring him like in the original game, hehe.
I have no idea whether to believe those 4chan rumors, but if the crocodile really does get cut... I suppose it wouldn't be too surprising, but I'd be a little disappointed at the same time. There is something about giant animals though that really doesn't fit the monster aesthetic or design that would come to define the Resident Evil series. When you've got stuff like Birkin with the G-virus or Nemesis or whatnot, having otherwise normal-looking giant animals seems kind of out of place next to them.

What 4chan rumors?
If the RE2 remake isn't pretty much exactly like REmake, ie the Mega Man 9 of Resident Evil, then I don't really care to play it.
I want it all, pre-rendered backgrounds (just imagine what those could look like with modern tech) and 3D character models, tank controls (though they can be optional) and good old ammo conservation.
I mean I don't see what the point would be otherwise, they can certainly expand and change things like REmake did but if it's not the same basic gameplay what is really the point?
Well, I could live with 3D graphics, sometimes I wonder if that pre-rendered style is the technicolor of video games, ie something that's been lost to time, but it better feature cinematic, fixed camera angles and not over the shoulder business.

It's in Bumpyroad's link, literally above my last post.

The crocodile fight was a direct reference to Jaws's iconic ending, so it fit in with the whole effort to make RE2 more "Hollywood" than the first (developers have alluded to this in interviews, and it's quite apparent in the cutscenes). I liked it a lot, personally. A boss fight as a simple puzzle! Apart from that, I have zero interest in a first-person remake, but the real game still exists.
