I wish there were more Neo Geo shmups, all of them are so awesome (except for Andro Dunos ).

I would totally play a Captain Tomaday game made by Christine Love.

Hm, why is this not showing up on the main page? I did the forum/social media updates last night, but then watched The Wizard Rifftrax with my wife, then fell asleep. I'm going to do it soon now, I swear!

I only agree with the reviewer about the fact the game is derivative of Twinbee and Parodius, because I always disliked it. I find everything in it lame and uninspired from the enemy design to the intermissions, the power-up/transformation system is confusing and was probably put in because it's a pretty bare-bones game even for a shooter. I remember when playing it at the arcade having a lot of slowdowns even if it wasn't graphically intensive at all. I like cute-em-ups but to me this one is bottom of the barrel.

Maybe, but I'm not particularly picky when it comes to STGs. Which is also why I haven't covered one since writing this article (same with fighting games). Was there ever a game that did the two fists thing that this game did?

I want to say there's another vertical cutesy shmup where the character's left and right arms can extend sort of like Top Hunter. IIRC there's a vertical shmup Gatchaman game too where you can do this maybe?

I can't help but think the opening of this game just screams Powerpuff Girls.
