The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks This is quite a step up from Phantom Hourglass I think. The setting is more original, the music is memorable this time, and the train thing is quite nice. I also really liked the dungeons this time. The central dungeon is waaaay less tedious than in PH, since you don't have to replay floors. It's also longer and has a way better central theme (co-operating with Zelda instead of a timer). Combined with the main dungeons, I think the game has a nice meat to it.
By the way, with only a few days in 2016 to go, we gon' do this next year? If so, I'd like to volunteer as the person who keeps track of stuff. Not that I'm dissatisfied about anything, but it seems that recently it has been a bit of a hassle for those involved, and I'm gonna go ahead and guess Jdarkside isn't going to do it either.
That and I have a habit of keeping track of all kinda shit in excel files anyway.

Finished Overcooked with the lunchtime gaming crew at work. Wonderfully fun and chaotic with four players

Klaid and I have been speaking off the page about doing this next year and staying more involved to keep it up to date and other rules and stuff. Feel free to message us with any ideas and other ways to help out and be more involved.

Hexyz Force
A somewhat obscure PSP release. Typical fantasy JRPG that reminded me a lot of the PS1 era except about half as long. Only took me 16 hours to play. There are however two select-able main characters and to get the extra ending you have to play through the other side with clear data.
Hexyz Force does have a few modern conveniences like visible enemies and a fast forward button which make fights fast. Probably a little on the easy side but if you enjoy PS1 classics like Wild Arms or Lunar and want something short and similar give Hexyz Force a shot. It is a little simplistic but it captures the feel of classic JRPGs well. I enjoyed my time with the game.
This has to be the most normal games Sting has ever developed. Also the only Sting game I've managed to beat despite owning almost all of them ha. If only Riviera had a fast forward feature for battles too. Going to dig into the backlog for my next game. Was thinking maybe Growlanser IV, Suikoden, Alundra, or maybe a Wild Arms. I've a hankering for something old school. I can call PS2 and PSP old school now yeah?

I can call PS2 and PSP old school now yeah? I think that's a fair call. The PS2 is two generations old now, and the PSP was released in 2004.

Growlanser IV is easily the best thing ever released on the PSP, miles and miles ahead of Hexyz Force. Ultimately it'll depend how much you get into the battle system and all the ways in which you can customize your characters, but in my opinion it's ton of funs. Actually, Alundra is clearly one of the best action RPGs ever made too, very moody/dark story & atmosphere with puzzle-heavy gameplay. And of course, Suikoden's great. Wild ARMs is just so-so, but the soundtrack is amazing. I'm almost jealous of your backlog. I'm 99% sure mine doesn't have anything of this caliber in it.

Now (much like many of us on this board) I face a mountain of games that I cannot possibly finish. I'ma give Growlanser IV another shot. I remember playing it briefly in 2012 but then being distracted by something else. Maybe FE: Awakening. Best PSP release ever eh? I mean Mega Man Powered Up still exists but we'll see. We will see.

There's a level editor in powered up? How is it?

You have a Megaman avatar, and I can confirm that Megaman is not in Growlanser IV. But if you can overlook that grave flaw, then you may come to agree with my statement. Growlanser's art and character design look sort of generic at first (they did to me, anyway), but once you get into the gameplay it's awesome and the world is very well built.
