If you want to help MAME, you can donate a little money to this fundraiser to get two rare games released. Shoutime is an arcade enthusiast in Japan who has bought MANY PCBs and provided dumps to MAME. He's easily spent several dozens of thousands of dollars on boards and just given away the dumps. He recently acquired two incredibly rare unreleased games and spent $13,000 out of his own pocket for them. He's looking to get only around half that back in donations to release these games for the whole planet to enjoy. One of the games is a 2 player simultaneous Data East beat 'em up that looks very intriguing. If you can even donate a couple of bucks, every little helps. Without people like Shoutime, EVERY single one of these games would be sucked up by hoarding assholes in Japan and would never see the light of day. This sounds awesome! I went ahead and donated to the fundraiser I love that such a significant effort is being put forth to help preserve obscure games such as these.

Hopefully if this gets funded, some asshole hoarder won't barge in and declare he isn't allowed to show it to anybody. Like what happened to the last game he was showing off, SegaSonic Bros.
That's not his fault, and he was kind enough to at least dump the ROM of that, but seriously, hoarders need to be lined up and shot.

Is there a way to donate without my name getting posted on there?

He's never taken money for a game that didn't get released.

Is there a way to donate without my name getting posted on there? Yeah if you make an account on Mameworld and send Smitdogg a message just tell him you don't want your name posted.

A couple days ago I saw he started a Patreon, so I linked it on Twitter and pledged some myself. He's looking to track down/dump more than just those two games too. I'm familiar with the Konami one, I briefly mentioned it in the Konami Shooter book, but now there's at least a video instead of just a blurry magazine photograph so there's a better idea of what the game actually is. www.patreon.com/ShouTime?ty=h
