This whole article is just nothing but bias. Tbh a lot of the dialogue in the game is just cringe-worthy. In fact I wouldn't be surprised if the author of this article has a connection to the devs much like Nathan Grayson did.

The author doesnt mention anything negative about the game whatsoever. Even when I write an article I usually say what I'd do different to improve the experience.

Yes, but you just accused the author of sleeping with the creators, based off a meme which was fictional to begin with. That's in extremely poor taste on several levels.

Even when I write an article I usually say what I'd do different to improve the experience. That's not always necessary when writing about a game, especially on a website mainly dedicated to gaming history and not consumer coverage. Didn't really have anything to say that wouldn't be pointless nitpicking, so I just didn't write any negative criticisms. If it's not a flaw of any particular merit, it's just not worth bringing up. Basically, the few things I think could have been worked on are as necessary to the game as 60 FPS to a turn based card game (aka not at all).

I think we're thinking of different events. I was referring to how this person got butthurt over a steam review: steamed.kotaku.com/steam-curators-need-a-revamp-1740374769 ; though it's p much confirmed that the author doesnt have connections to them so w/e.

Also full disclosure, here are the video game developers that HG101 staff has illicitly consorted with: Hidetaka Miyazaki Masamitsu "Moo" Niitani Hideki Kamiya's mom Someone who once sneezed on Hideo Kojima at a party Yukichan's Papa Someone in a Purple Tentacle costume (probably Tim Schafer (we hope)) Basically everyone at Treasure, past and present Whoever it was that made Valkyrie no Densetsu I think we're talking about completely different events because I have no idea what you're referring to.

This game looks awesome! So many good adventure games lately! Shardlight, Samorost 3, this one... So good to return to this minimalist genre after thinking it's dead for good for the past year or two. I know I was wrong about that, but somehow I had no interest for the genre for some time.

You really should check out Red Comrades Save The Galaxy. I have an article over it to be published later, but the long and short is that it's a must play just for the fact it's a Russian made game and about communists fighting aliens.

Wow! So they made a new version of it and it's on Steam and it's cheap? Just great! Big thanks for telling me! I have played the very first original Russian version back then in 1998. It was the very first adventure game I've ever played and naturally I loved it a lot, but could never beat it (I'll get my revenge soon ). Two years later I played the sequel. I think it's not as good as the first one, but a good game too - in that one Chapaev and Petka will travel to America to spread the bright ideals of red revolution . There is the whole series actually - 6 or 7 games total.

I'm sure the author was in no way biased, but I feel like the game is just silly. The total Snatcher-head that nabbed the game right when it came out was totally disappointed. Any animations are few and far between, there's only one shooting sequence, and the story is pretty lame as a whole. A lot of the dialogue feels wedged in, telling rather than showing a lot of crucial information. You spend three hours looking for a specific guy, and his fate ends up being summarized in a twenty second dialogue bit. Show me a picture of him, let me find him, something. Also, there's a lot of LGBT characters, but their whole LGBT status has no effect on the story. They could all be straight and it wouldn't matter at all. I feel like that's a problem with a lot of media nowadays, not just this game.
My favorite Snatcher-type game will always be the second Space Adventure Cobra adventure, released in North America on Sega CD. It's a beautiful mess with a simple space opera story that I can get behind. My favorite part: there's like five characters named Joe. Cobra pro wrestles as Joe, there's a guy named Crazy Joe, and then there's a villain named something like Hammer Bowl Joe. A+

Uh... yeah, that's kind of how it works in real life. Right, that didn't come out right. What I mean is that the lgbt characters feel really wedged in. It's so inconsequential to the story that it feels more like pandering to a group of people than a sincere attempt at bringing in more lgbt characters into games.
