I actually kinda like the idea with limited shortcuts for special moves. It doesn't do much in single player, but it can lead to various traps, extended juggles and potentially game-changing situations in multiplayer, since competitive fighting relies on reading your opponent's moves. Cool concept wasted on miserable game.

Huh. Wasn't this already on the site? Could have sworn I'd read this before on here (but then again, I read every single article on Tattoo Assassins I can.)

To be honest, I'd say that a concept like that was handled a lot better in the Marvel games, especially since you could actually still move around and do stuff while your partner was doing their special.

So what was the tactical advantage of the fart attack?

So what was the tactical advantage of the fart attack? Making the intended teenage boy audience laugh?

So what was the tactical advantage of the fart attack? Making the intended teenage boy audience laugh? So it's like baiting, then? Interesting, sounds like it has some deep mechanics.

This video contains the only content in Tattoo Assassins that you'll need to consume. The "turkey fart" fatality is at 2:51.
There is a character named TRUCK in this game. ....I don't know why I felt that worth bringing up.

Man, I feel this way about a lot of games featured on this site. I swear there's a massive Adventure Island article somewhere on here that I just never found. I remember this being the first Tattoo Assassin's article I ever read online. www.bunnyears.net/tattoo/As others have said, it's hard to believe this game was supposed to come out in 1995 - it would have looked positively ancient.

What I find so bizarre about this game is the Bob Gale connection, how did someone who helped write the excellent Back to The Future trilogy be involved with something this awful?
Though I assume he probably only had a hand in the basic idea of "people with magical tattoos fight" rather than any of the characters or their backstories, though if I'm wrong it's also clear that he didn't care much and probably threw in stuff like the Nancy Kerrigan type character as a joke.

Oh yeah! A Tattoo Assasins article from HG101! So what was the tactical advantage of the fart attack? Making the intended teenage boy audience laugh? Fart jokes are also met in family movies like Lion King. The only times I find farts funny was when I was in early elementary school. Yet lots of adult american animated series, from Family Guys till South Park, are so obsessed with fart jokes and toilet jokes generally.

I think this game is the perfect example of everything that's wrong with the gaming industry.
