Video games can have some creative names for people, places and things but there are also some bad names too. What are some of these to you. And for the record lets allow stuff from liscensed stuff as long as it is in a game as well.
Some stuff I think are bad are.
Boogerman Oscar the name of the terrorist organization in Shatterhands (Naming after a Sesame Street character doesn't sound so intimidating.) Tingle for the Legend of Zelda

John Dutch Cane from the obscure Xbox game Blowout.
What a stereotypical "badass" name.

Durak from Sine Mora. It probably sounds OK, but it means "idiot" in my native language. There was also a quite dramatic scene with this Durak dying and a girl screaming at him "Durak" repeatedly... Also... Am I the only one who thinks Samus is a very strange name for a girl?

Oh yeah, since I keep bringing it up... Joshua from Fire Hawk: Thexder the Second Contact.
Doesn't sound like too bad a name... until you realize Joshua is female.

Hiro from Lunar 2.
Also I hate Cecil as a fantasy name. It feels like the most generic name for the most generic man. Not waifish Paladin man. I do call him See-Sill because that feels slightly better than Seh-Sill.

Also... Am I the only one who thinks Samus is a very strange name for a girl? How about this: in Suikoden III there's a character named Dupa. I remember browsing through suikosource once and when I found this character's profile I almost fell of the chair laughing as "Dupa" in my language means "ass" (the body part, not the animal). Oh, mighty warrior Dupa Also, wasn't the main antagonist in Snake's Revenge called Higharolla Kockamamie?

Only in the 90’s wacky-ass Konami of America manual, whose story bears little resemblance in what’s found in the actual game. Also remember ”Colonel Vernon CaTaffy” in the prequel.

Snow Vanille Lightning from Final Fantasy XIII, (I don't know where to start)
Lancelot Lakeknight from Toshinden 4 Wakka from FF X Azul the Cerulean from FF: Dirge of Cerberus (his name is kinda blue the blue) Fox McCloud from from Star Fox (you know, he is a fox, that is the reason why his prename is fox, makes sense right?) Cloud Strife from FF VII (for obvious reason) Böser from Langrisser (reason: Böser is german and it means evil, but not the noun, but rather the adjective.)
Somehow Final Fantasy is kinda the king of awful names.
Durak means idiot? xD, the scene must be awesome x'D There is a character with the name Error? poor child, his/her parents are awful
Yours sincerely

Error is fine. It's Bagu whose name was mistranslated in Zelda 2 -- he was supposed to be Bug. So you had best friends Bug and Error, get it? It's a stupid joke, but I kinda like it. And can't really fault the naming choice, since at least there was a reason to name them as such. Probably some fed-up programmers letting off some steam with a couple townsfolk. -Tom
