www.hardcoregaming101.net/countlucanor/countlucanor.htmBaroque Decay's The Count Lucanor, a loose take on the Spanish stories, done entirely in the style of a Studio Ghibli film (their comparison) and sprite based adventure games, with a bit of class from a classical soundtrack remade with chiptunes.

That's some really nice pixel-art in the cutscenes.

I like pixel art, anime and gory horror, so even without knowing anything about it I put the game in my Steam wishlist. And this article showed me that it was a good idea! If only I didn't buy so many (for my standard) games in the recent sale... I'm only worried about the stealth part since I was never good at those (the hospital stage in Hotline Miami was especially infuriating), but maybe it will be a small price to pay to enjoy the game.
Also, it's probably a limitation of the in-game sprites, but that kobold thing looks a bit like the Jack mascot characters from Atlus.

Pyro Jack is based on the same sort of creature, so that's not surprising.
The stealth only really gets challenging if you try finding all the letters, which you don't actually need to do. I won't spoil the rest, though.

Part of me is hoping this wasn't a typo:
"The music helps, giving the game some class and a sense of impotence."

Well, impotence is rarely tackled in video games! Points for uniqueness.

Umm, in spanish the same word it is used for impotence and helplessness, I guess that the writer was a spaniard. Take into mind that impotence really means: "you can't do anything about it".

I am Hispanic, but that really was a typo.
