www.hardcoregaming101.net/bitgenerations/bitgenerations.htmA series of seven GBA titles released over the course of two weeks, the bit Generations games are aesthetically-driven and simple-but-pleasant little games. The first part of the article covers Series 1 (dotstream, BOUNDISH, and DIALHEX), which are on the more traditional side of things, with game elements that will be familiar to most.

I'm guessing the article will make mention of it, but a few of the bitGenerations titles eventually made it to North America and Europe, albeit in the form of remakes on WiiWare and DSiWare as part of the Art Style series.
Of the ones covered so far, Dotstream was remade as Light Trax, and Dialhex was remade as Rotohex, both for WiiWare.

Dylan Cuthbert was involved with DigiDrive, which explains the similar movements to Q-Games' Starship Defense / Starship Defender / Starship Patrol.

So this is just going to be the GBA games? I think the DSiWare and WiiWare games are much more interesting, at least I found that. At any rate, I've really enjoyed the ones I've played. Dialhex is probably the best out of the GBA ones I've played. It can get pretty intense.
By the way, I could not for the life of me figure out how to correctly play Dotstream/Light Trax. Maybe I should try it again some time, it's been half a decade.

Dotstream is wonderful! To me it is one of the purest racing games out there. It has aged very gracefully in terms of presentation: it is a designers' game in every way, both in terms of graphics and audio. Just like the visuals, the gamplay seems rather minimalsitic at first, but it is very well thought out and it becomes gradually more complex. Once you get the hang of it, it can be a very rewarding "flow"-like experience.
I highly recommend trying it out again!

Second page still seems to redirect to the first page. Third page is fine, though.

Hm, no luck for me. Maybe it's a problem with my cache or something, reloading the old redirect page? I'll try to work something out.
EDIT: Yeah, the cache must be the problem, the link works in another browser.
