I own CastleVania Judgment - it's decent. If you're fanatical about the lore, then you'll find it blasphemy, but as something to play for an hour or two, it's ok enough. It's definitely more along the likes of Powerstone than a traditional fighter, though. Great arrangements of the music though EDIT: It goes without saying that you'll be best off with a classic controller though - the standard controls are horrendous... Can you use a Gamecube controller? I'm not too sure, I haven't given it a whirl. I sold my Gamecube and controller recently too, so I can't give it a try, haha

For anybody who has played the RPG 'Megaman X: Command Mission', how is it?. I don't see much talk about this game in particular.

You can use Gamecube controller in Castlevania Judgment, because that is how I played it when I rented it. It's an okay game. Camera is horrible, except I remember the camera didn't track monster movement in Castle mode. It would have been a better game if the camera was like that in other times.

I love Paper Mario series (even Super Paper Mario that many fans hate) but it's so hard for me to like Sticker Star for 3DS. Even if some people still like it and the gameplay looks ok, personally I can't like a Mario rpg that use the same generic Toad characters and the same exactly enemies we see in every Mario game. Part of the charm in Paper Mario previous games is their rich universe with many, new, interesting original characters, whenever it comes to party members or minor - but still enjoyable - NPC characters. And this is what makes many jrpg memorable even if they have generic settings. Maybe I will give it a try after finishing Paper Mario 1 (which I'm currently playing), Mario&Luigi Dream Team (which I got few months ago as a birthday present and I'll play after Paper Mario) and Mario&Luigi - Paper Jam (which I'll buy in the near future after finishing Dream Team).

I forgot to mention that I actually caved in and bought Curse of Darkness recently so I'll be playing that one at some point.

I forgot to mention that I actually caved in and bought Curse of Darkness recently so I'll be playing that one at some point. I really, really love Curse of Darkness. In a completely non-ironic way too. I won't pretend it's perfect, because it definitely isn't, but I still find it super entertaining... even more so than I did back when it came out. I need to track another copy for my Xbox down. With all the moving house I've done over the last decade, it's gone missing. I've got a burned copy of the disc at the moment, but I need another copy... I really liked the cover art on that one

Music is weird, and the story seems to have no connection to the rest of the X series, which is kind of a shame - of course, X and Zero are in the game, but most of the cast is brand new. Alia might be in the game I think? But for the most part, it's very much a gaiden style installment. Gameplay is nothing spectuacular, but fun enough.

Anyone else here who also hates Castlevania - Curse of Darkness? I never understood why people praise it so much despite being so mediocre and at the same time they talk negatively about Harmony of Dissonance despite being much better than CotM and more playable and appealing in the eye. And it's not like I didn't gave it a try. I gave it three chances but still I couldn't like it no matter what. Therefore it will stay as the only Metroid-style Castlevania I will never bother playing till the end.

It's entirely possible to like a game a lot, whilst acknowledging it's not a perfect and has flaws. Also, I loved Harmony of Dissonance too. The only CastleVania game I really, really don't like is probably Lament of Innocence... and maaaaybe 64. But even then, I don't hate them... they have their good points.

I like both PS2 ones and I like HoD. I completed all three of them. I completed Lament of Innocence with each bonus character too.
