I don't think we'll find many people willing to speak up on behalf of Harmony of Despair.

I will, Harmony of Despair was awesome. Aria of Sorrow perfected the formula on a portable, but Harmony of Despair was a great off the back of Circle of the Moon. The soundtrack cops a lot of flak too, but I really dig it.

God of War: Ascension. Every game in this franchise has been smooth like butter to me. But something about this one made me not bother. Multiplayer. Fuck that garbage. It's a story-driven adventure. Not a FPS. Still wonder what I'm missing.

Not a FPS. Still wonder what I'm missing. You haven't posted in years... buuuuuuut I can never resist sharing my thoughts on something, sorry I didn't do so sooner. God of War: Ascension is worth playing, the multiplayer can very easily be ignored, but it is the game where the old God of War formula started to feel stale, the combat for whatever reason feels a lot more tedious than the prior games and the combat could get tedious even at the best of times. But it fills in an interesting gap on the overall storyline and the ending of the game hints at something really interesting that has yet to be picked up on even in God of War 2018.

I'm in the minority minority that loved, LOVED Harmony of Despair. Loved the premise. Loved playing with friends! What sucked was how imbalanced it was to upgrade each character. It felt lacking in equipment, and some characters required major grinding to be effective for later maps.
