www.hardcoregaming101.net/kazenonotam/kazenonotam.htmA hot-air balloon simulator from Artdink, a minor developer perhaps best known for making experimental games that initially received a lukewarm reception, like Aquanaut's Holiday and Tail of the Sun. Kaze no NOTAM clearly falls within that same category of games, for better or for worse.

Very nice, almost philosophical article that made me very curios about the game. Thanks.

Oh, this one. it has absolutely wonderful soundtrack Colorful rectangular shapes? Imagery of pools, palm trees and hot-air balloons? Japanese symbols and laid back new-age soundtrack? This is pretty much "Vaporwave: The Game".

I spent some time playing this (Kaze no NOTAM) the other day, inspired by HG101. I found it pleasant but frustrating, i.e. pretty much the way it was described in the article, since you have so little control over where you go.
The title is kind of an odd duck. Isn't a NOTAM, in this context, a notice to pilots that you're going to be sending up a balloon ("Notice to Airmen")? If so, then I can't really parse the title: "Hazard Notice of Wind"? "Wind Notification"? "Wind Warning"?
