I remember trying this on MAME because I was on a binge of Irem games, but not being too wowed by it despite my "fetish" for cartoony witches and cute, innocuous horror. Maybe because I didn't get too far... There was also a "Gun Hohki" billboard for this game in one level of Ninja Baseball Bat Man!
Also, little mistake: the Dragon Breed pic is named "Master Burner".

There are quite a bit of spaces missing in the article's text.

"The FM synth on Irem's arcade boards were well suited to the type of anxiety-inducing moodiness of their other games, but the light-hearted tracks in here just feel inconsequential."
Irem's games just had a harsh sound by design though; as Shinji Hosoe's output or games like Valkyrie no Densetsu, Power Drift and Carat show, the YM2151 chip was very capable of lighthearted music too. In this game they don't use stereo effects nor percussion samples, so it's gonna sound a bit thin and subdued from that. Either they couldn't get the samples to sound good with the music or it was a budget thing.
