Over the years I've seen many good shows I like come and go. Some seem to stay around on other TV channels as repeats and play for years while others go away only to appear occasionally or are almost forgotten. I've seen The Golden Girls, Frasier and I love Lucy appear more often then Third Rock From The Sun and Night Court with the latter reappearing only once or twice in my life time. Two show I've wanted to see again that are forgotten are Parker Lewis Can't Lose and You Can't Do That On Television. It's probably because with so many new shows appearing every year on so many channels that there probably is so much newer stuff to show as repeats that the older stuff is swept away. I'm pretty sure some of you here would say get the DVD sets for the shows but some of us like to see it on TV instead.

Here in LA, there is a sub-channel that will televise older movies 1970's and 1980's movies. Like channel 5.3, or something like that. Or I think they show it on the cable channel TV Land?
But gone are the days where we would see re-runs of Gilligan's Island. I remember Parker Lewis Can't Lose, but I can't think of any specific episodes, the way I can with Married With Children. Or even Herman's Head, which is like, the only show where Lisa Simpson is not Lisa Simpson.
One show I really miss is Dinosaurs. They really had a winning concept there. But must be a lot of work configuring the animatronic dinosaur constumes.

I want to watch Twilight Zone and Night Gallery again, but forget when reruns air or they are on stupid times. This is why I just buy them on DVD.
Speaking of You Can't Do that on Television, it shows up rarely on Teennick's late night The Splat lineup. As much as I like the Nicktoons, they clog up the block with them and barely give the live action shows a proper rerun order. I wish they would just make a "Nick Classic". Ironically they don't air much of these cartoons on the actual Nicktoon channel. Go figure.

As a major eighties cartoon advocate, I almost feel like I might be the only person who enjoys Filmation's Ghostbusters. It gets rather unfairly compared to the more popular The Real Ghostbusters, but to be honest I don't see why there can't just be two sets of ghostbusters. Also not enough people appreciate the original 1970s Battlestar Galactica. Is anime valid in this thread? Because there's an anime called Armored Fleet Dairugger XV that deserves more love than it gets (part of its lack of popularity is due to a bad dub that hacked it into being a sequel to a completely different anime, causing a "they changed it now it sucks" effect--the original show, standing alone, is actually awesome)

Personally, I remember liking Clarissa Explains It All quite a bit. Despite the low budget not allowing for many sets besides the house, I think it did quite well with Clarissa talking/complaining about her problems like just about any teenager would. How was she to know people were in fact listening ? So yeah, I agree with Syd Lexia about his theory that it's not actually shattering the fourth wall. I just thought I'd mention this one. Also, I've been curious about Tales of the Crypt ever since starting Catherine. I didn't like horror when I was younger, but now, I actually kinda enjoy the rush of adrenaline and possibly lust it incites (seriously! Being scared makes you horny! Look it up if you don't believe me!).

Well, I enjoy old crime shows, especially stuff like Quincy, Magnum or Murder She Wrote. Good thing those shows usually have reruns abundant over here, and the rest is pretty easy to get by online. Though, few where I really liked at least one more season were The Adventures of Brisco County Jr (You can't have enough Bruce Campbell on tv), Seven Days and Invisible Man. Especially the last one was great. Vincent Ventresca and Paul Ben-Victor are such a great duo.
In terms of anime... Peter Pan no Bouken and Future Police Urashiman (Rock n' Cop) We had both on tv here, and the former even got a few DVDs released. Hell! I even have one. I just hesistate to watch it because I know how disappointed and pissed I'd be if I can't continue. And the only other way for the latter is something like the copy of a copy of a VHS that was filmed with a camcorder and put on YT.

Anyone else every watch Video Power in the mornings? I always wanted to enter, win, and grab a hoard of games! At 8 years old, that just seemed like the greatest prize. Even if all those games wouldn't even be worth as much as getting 3rd place for a complimentary $1000 in Jeopardy.

Most of the good old shows already have enough love, so I won't need to list stuff the Mary Tyler Moore show, or 'good' guilty pleasures like Matlock.
Some of the more obscure stuff?
I was a fan of Out of this World back in the day. It's basically Sabrina the Teenage Witch with aliens instead of witches, but to me it felt less Disney-fied.
Original Mission Impossible TV is popular, but in truth the only season you'd want to really watch is season 1, with Steven Hill. Everyone is more familiar with the Peter Graves episodes, but he never had Hill's edge.
Get A Life, the fox sitcom with Chris Elliott--21st century style humour that was ahead of its time.

Even if all those games wouldn't even be worth as much as getting 3rd place for a complimentary $1000 in Jeopardy. That was a favorite of mine as a kid. The cartoon season and the game show. I would always get pissed when kids would bypass all the good games and end up with stuff like Bases Loaded or Flicky. Especially when there was always a Neo Geo sitting right there, waiting to be picked up. Get A Life, the fox sitcom with Chris Elliott--21st century style humour that was ahead of its time. Get A Life is a great one. Really was ahead of its time. I just tried to think of a favorite, and so many episodes came back to me. When Chris and his dad build a submarine in the bathtub, when Chris gets the key to the city, the spelling bee, and when Chris and the construction workers hang out in the backyard because there is an unusual amount of women walking through. So good.

God, I totally remember that episode of Chris building that submarine in the bath tub.
That, and Out of this World. Being able to freeze time is such a boss ability to have. That had to be around the time when they were also televising Charles in Charge, and Blossom. My Secret Identity. Sledge Hammer.

I love All in The Family and Sanford and Son, that gravel like voice of Redd Foxx always makes me chuckle.
I also check in on Toonami Aftermath from time to time

Old timer republican (trump supporter) who loves casual racism and calling kids slurs for liberals. Some things don't change, do they? :\

The episode were he put on black face went too far, though I barely remember the episode.

There was some random British show on PBS when I was a kid called "Now Get Out of That" or something along those lines. It was about dropping normal people into these crazy James Bond scenarios and seeing if they could infiltrate compounds and shit. Good stuff.
