Fantastic game, but I'm not even sure how I'd play it today unless I go buy a CRT somewhere. It's also part of the Castle Shikigami universe(or vice versa). The black robed woman from the beginning is playable in Shikigami 1. She's kind of a multi-dimensional being.

One thing kinda bugging me is that despite going into a fairly lengthy summary of the game's plot, it never mentions what the player characters are. While it's true the Prince gets the cutscene focus, the way the summary's presented makes it seem almost like they're the player's POV. While they don't have much in the way of story agency, I think it's at least worth noting you're playing as what amounts to an undead flying fantasy cyborg terminator, if only for the novelty of it.

Yeah, they're pretty tragic. Members of the rebellion that are having their undead corpses used as a weapon.

Oh. Wait, what? I'm barely familiar with Elemental Gearbolt so what do I need to add?

Oh. Wait, what? I'm barely familiar with Elemental Gearbolt so what do I need to add? The article does a good job of summarizing the story. The protagonists are barely involved at all, they're literally undead avatars. A simple 'the players take the roles of two sisters, members of the rebellion who were executed and were revived solely to be used as weapons' would cover it. There's a brief scene in the beginning that shows the Prince giving them a pendant, so they have some sentimental attachment, but that's about it.
