www.hardcoregaming101.net/robinhood/robinhood.htmA far cry from the usual licensed side-scrolling platformers, this movie tie-in with the early 90s Kevin Costner vehicle is a fun action-RPG that mixes genres, has varied quests, and lets you relive the movie in 8-bit fashion.

I don't know... I thought it sucked when I rented back when I was like 6 or something.

So now I bet we're all going to bash on this movie on how we think it sucked. Truthfully, I loved it. It's among my top 10 movies (though not the top 3.) I also liked the soundtrack and have it on CD. Alan Rickman's performance as the Sheriff of Nottingham is very good even funny at times. Finally, anyone remember the toys for the movie? They used Star Wars toy models? for the play sets.

I liked the movie in 1991, but it's not looking quite as good in the light of 2017. Kevin Costner is a terrible, terrible actor.

Didn't Seanbaby do a pretty hilarious takedown of this game once?

This could do with a bit on the original version that had nothing to do with the movie. There's a somewhat playable prototype ROM out there. (And I think I heard Frank Cifaldi talk on a podcast about a more advanced version that is not public?)

I've never played this although I remember it getting a coveted Nintendo Power cover story.

Turns out with the early copy the mag ran though, the company went back for fixes that delayed the release after the full detailed walkthrough. Also, anyone else remember the old early Spoony ramble on this game?

Well, I prefer overly positive texts to the opposite (fantasy zone 2). Didn't get far into this game although I wanted to like it. I guess they got too ambitious with combining different gameplay engines and didn't have time to polish them, kinda like with Ultimate Stuntman IIRC.

Please check the author's head for open wounds. This game is garbage. Still not as bad as that embarrassing article Sketcz wrote trying to defend the CD-I Zelda games.

The less said about that human globule of mucus, the better. Though regarding this particular game, I can see how someone would be partial to a game like this if they grew up with it. I like Wall Street Kid, for instance...

I liked this game back then. I used the Nintendo Power maps to go through most of the game and I enjoyed it. The music is great.

I dunno, I think I prefer the articles written in a positive light (And really, what's with the BS "IT DUMB COZ NO HATE WHAT ME HATE" stuff? Seriously guys).
I tend to fight the negative articles tend to veer into AVGN territory and usually feel ranty and not as interesting.

So people should like stuff they don't like instead? Robin Hood is pretty infamous for being a bad licensed game.
