I like those little gas station dollar bags of candies quite a bit too: apple rings, peach rings, watermelon rings, etc. are all great, sour gummy worms, anything like that. Yeah, I like those too! I would always grab a bag of apple rings on a family road trip circa the late 00s and early 10s. The Apple rings are pretty good but they never have them at places I know. Always the peach versions. Sour worms are OK but all of the gelatin based candies make you take a step back when you know what's in them... Anyone remember those big red wax lips? I had no idea you were supposed to chew on them like gum. Yuck. Or those wax bottles filled with liquid sugar juice? Attachments:

Yeah, I forgot to mention I can't find apple rings anymore either, only peach, I haven't had apple rings in years, I wonder if they've been phased out and what the reason why is? Also I know, gelatin is a meat based thing isn't it? Since I'm not a vegetarian it doesn't matter to me.

Gelatin is supposedly made from animal bones, cartilage, and other left over junk(horns). Alot of pork. I'm not a vegetarian either but it just make you wonder.
I see the Apple rings on Amazon so they're still being made. They must not be very popular in stores, I guess. I'll need to order a great big bag when I get back on my feet.

I know some gummy candies are made using plant based gels like agar.

I absolutely hate cadbury creme eggs. The filling tastes weird to me. Like kind of salty and slimy.
My wife hates marzipan but I like it.

Oh, two things I really do like to indulge in are Kinder Schoko Bons and Haribo Gummy Bears (but the ones made with fruit juice instead of the traditional ones).

I don't live in Halloweenland, but I will say that Licoriche by far is the worst, in any form ever, followed closely by mint.

Huh, I like black licorice. Not my favorite candy but I actually like those black jelly beans. I also like candy corn. What I don't like as a seasonal candy are those conversation hearts. These nasty things: Anyways I get addicted to eating jelly beans and gummys. My favorite brand of gummy is from a company called Albanese. Not sure if they are in other regions of US but do try them if you can. I don't get them often but there's a candy store few cities over from me known for large sized jelly beans. So good. Not my pic, just help show you its size.

Candy corn is gross. Never has a tradition of sweetness tasted so bland. I happen to like candy corn but not everybody..... Lewis Black seems to be one of them....

Anyone remember candy cigarettes? Those were good. Now you can't get them anymore in the States. I know you can get them in other countries.

I remember candy cigarettes! Once every few years, I'll come across a specialty store that sells them. But definitely very difficult to come by. Considering that most candy tend to have a shelf-life of infinity times infinity, it's probably some decades old product that's been sitting on the shelf.
Pop Rocks are also great, although I only see them in independent liquor stores.
