Pretty impressed that his latest project just outright reshot his scenes. That's pretty rare for Hollywood.

With only weeks to go before release too. If it was anybody but Ridley Scott it probably wouldn’t have happened. GamerL Western animation in the 80s were just longform ads for toys. There’s some good and a lot of bad. But if you tell most 32-42 year olds that something like Dinosaucers or The Snorkels were bad, god help you. Disney did have it tough. But Brave Little Toaster trumps all, and for that one movie I can forgive all that was released then.

Centurions and Wheel Warriors were okay, but Captain Power was kind of ahead of the curve with its toys that could interact with the show. I think they even killed off one of the good guys (or girl, rather).

Oh man, all classics there. I had a Wheel Warriors lunch box in first grade. Captain Power was always a dream toy for me, but never got it. Just got a stand alone figure of his silver sidekick. Silver hawks too were ones I really wanted.

Yeah, I only ever got the Captain and not any of the rest of the cast or vehicles or even the tapes. Just remembered Visionaries, too. Never saw a show to tie in with it and only ever managed to get one figure (Leoric, I think?), but the line had an interesting gimmick. Well, for the late 80s, at least.

I had a few Visionaries. That reminded me of Supernaturals. I had a ton of those.

Oh wow, never heard of them before. Yeah, looks like they had a very similar idea going on.

The 80s had a couple of great Don Bluth movies. Arguably his only good ones, too.

Anastasia is trash, that's for sure. Honestly, I usually confuse FernGully for one of his lesser works, as well.

To be fair, Anastasia could still as well be a Disney movie of that era. Their Renaissance star was quickly fading too. It would fit perfectly inbetween Pocahontas and Hercules.

I was trying to be diplomatic, but you're absolutely right.

So who's the antagonist? Bartok?

The 80s were filled with talking Animal movies. So many. Don Delouise was always a welcome voice though.
