Devil May Cry 3 takes place almost entirely in "Temen-nigru" , a massive tower. There's a couple RPG's that take place mainly in one town, like Keys to Maramon and Basted. If you want a game that takes place on a cruise ship for the whole game, play Resident Evil Gaiden for GBC.

Neugier, a fan-translated SFC action RPG, has a short scene on a ship, then 95% of the game takes place in a castle. It's a lot like the final castle in every RPG, which is why the game is so short.

I think Koudelka does that doesn't it? It does! And isn't Vagrant Story also taking place in a single monestary or something?

You don't go outside in the Kagero/Deception series of games. Forever stuck in the dark and twisted labyrinth of rooms, filled with lethal traps and murderous torture devices.

That reminds me: Brandish! Brandish is all about escaping from an enormous underground ruin. Technically, it's the ruins of a city, but it very much feels like -- and is treated like -- one big location due to the fact that it's all now an open-air underground cavern of absolutely massive size. -Tom

Other Life, Azure Dreams.
It's just the village at the base of the tower. The whole game, and all its randomized dungeons happen in the tower.

If someone can't get enough of towers, here's one more to climb--Quantum Theory for X360/PS3. Has a "living tower".

Hello. I have always been fascinated with castles, mansions, etc. with secret rooms, passages, or other strange things, like non-euclidean geometry in the architecture. If you want a big explorable structure with rooms that connect in bizarre ways, I suggest looking into Antichamber.

Ecstatica 2. The castle is huge (although mostly - if not all? - optional).

Pandora's Tower is conceptually a single large fortress although it isn't in practice. PT doesn't get enough love compared to the other Operation Rainfall games, Xenoblade and Last Story.

Aren't these examples a bit too generic though? By that reasoning even stuff like The Tower of Druaga, Solomon's Key or Bugs Bunny's Crazy Castle count.

I don't have a building, but I love the layout designer from Digital Devil Saga. This is great design, It would even say glorious! I also think this Morrorwind map is complex. It kinda reminds me of the shittiness from the Skyrim dungeons. Too bad that nobody really cares about complex buildings or floors in these times. Persona 5 dungeons are also very awful. They have beautiful walls, but the layout is boring and just straight ways. The beautiful walls were not worth it. Yours sincerely Jack Caeylin
