Since you guys have allowed me to discover so many awesome soundtracks (like the Outlaws one), I decided to share this one too. I saw this on resetera, apparently it's a soundtrack for a mod-game based on Half Life 2. Now I don't know how the game is, but the soundtrack... WOW. It's really awesome. I really don't know how to describe the style, I guess you can call it Cyberpunk Neo-Noir, if that's even a description for music? These two tracks represent the style of the entire thing. Don't judge it by the first few seconds because they start sort of quiet. Here's the entire playlist: www.youtube.com/watch?v=oM6eZJRurFk&list=PLDC7312421FB8CC14&index=1If anyone more familiar with musical terms would care to describe the style of the OST?

Yeah this is one of my favs from the 00s. It can be described as IDM, progressive electronic, trip hop and post-rock.
If you're looking for something vaguely similar, try Sword & Sworcery, Machinarium and Strafe.

Ed Harrison, the composer behind the NeoTokyo OST, has a Bandcamp page and Soundcloud page, FYI. If you like this kind of music you should probably check out the WATMM forum as well for some recommendations for similar-ish music.
