What games have had multiplayer servers maintained long after initial release? For example, the PC version of Unreal still has active servers.
My favorite example is for the Japanese version of Resident Evil Outbreak. Fans made servers so that they could still play the game online!

As far as MMORPGs go, there's obviously 1997s Ultima Online which is still online. I think 1998s Lineage is still available in South Korea to this day, too.

The original Command & Conquer (from 1995) still has active servers; albeit not by the publisher. Dune II (1992) has servers now, even though it didn't have multiplayer originally.

One even older example Nexus: Kingdom of the Wind, which (in Korea) remains online in its (still regularly updated) current version AND a 1996 legacy build.

The Dreamcast scene is just nuts! They have revived no less than 19 games with even more coming in the future thanks to Peter3K and Shuouma. www.dreamcastlive.net/games.html

There are still active BBS door games, some of which can only be accessed through dial-up, but most of which can now be connected to with online terminal emulators. LORD and Trade Wars are probably the two most popular examples, and they're 29 and 34 years old respectively. EDIT: And it's probably worth mentioning that some BBS door games are still under active development and are still for sale, including LORD.
