PP1 may be there just to give fans the option to try out the origins of the series, it doesn't have the garbage block offset therefore the gameplay is at the very base of the formula. It is secretly one of the more played games in the West because of the localization meddling but no reason to pick it up unless they pull a double whammy and include the MSX/Famicom or Mean Bean. Since this is a Nintendo exclusive series, maybe Kirby's Avalanche isn't out of the question either. Doubtful but it might give it some extra draw. That would be cool. Mean Bean is directly Sega in comparison. The issue with the SNES Puyo Puyo is another publisher handled the port. Banpresto worked with Compile and Kirby Avalanche has their name in the copyrights. Nintendo further changed up the music and graphics it's just a messier localization than Mean Bean who actually shares more/most music.

I should really get some of the Ages ports before the amount of them gets too overwhelming. Tant-R is cool, since it's only been released in Japan and it's a pretty neat game. I wonder what they'll add to Wonder Boy in Monster Land.

The description mentions rare international arcade versions for Tant-R and Monster Land. Which most likely means they were unreleased/test marketed.

The monster land international release was in the last monster land collection. Apparently a Sega employee searched the archives and dug it out.

It was also on Wii Virtual Console Arcade, which is the version I own. Can't buy that one NOW though...

Huh, I wonder if it is the same for the last Sega Ages release of Tant-R? That series was never rereleased for the West.
