Speaking of the PS3s sales record, I was in my local EBgames recently (In Australia remember) and I happened to hear the EBgames prerecorded spiel on the PS3 which can be summed up as "Japan SOLD OUT America SOLD OUT Preorder NOW TO AVOID MISSING OUT" knowing full well how many consoles are actually out there it was just so ridiculously silly.
Also I'm neither for nor against GGX:Something +1 being on the Wii since I'm fairly sure all next-gen systems will probably get it (except possibly barring the PS3 due to it's current poor avaliablity/sales) I mean I assume one of the main reasons the previous ones got PS2/Xbox/PC releases is because the market there was bigger. No demand on the GC but now that the Wii is bigtime popular and definately won't suffer from Sony's '3D 1S B3STs! philosophy.'

Lol, you guys are silly. ;D
Anyway, it's kinda like what I said in another topic. Almost all sequels to games tend to be little more than minor upgrades to previous games (Dynasty Warriors, Madden, etc.). This I don't mind too much (unless it's just too half-assed). What gets me is tons of nearly pointless remakes and cash-cows (Capcom, I've got my eyes on you...). All in all, I'm happy to hear about 2-D games coming to the Wii.
I think the Wii can be a really good system if they'd just balance out what games use the classic controller and what games don't. It would be great if you had a choice for all the games on the Wii (like you have the option to use the Touch-Screen or the pad in certain DS games, not making either option mandatory).

Actually, Street Fighter 2 has about 13 revisions, Guilty Gear has 4. Not NEARLY enough.

All those versions is counting ports and what not. There are five truly seperate versions.

What was Tournament Battle? And weren't T, HF and THF just different titles of the exact same thing?

1) Street Fighter 2 World Warriors 2) Street Fighter 2 Champion Edition (Especial Champion Edition on the Genesis) 3) Street Fighter 2 Hyper Fighting (Turbo Hyper Fighting on the SNES) 4) Super Street Fighter 2 5) Super Street Fighter 2 Tournament (Japan only) 6) Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo ( SSF2 X in Japan)
6 revisions in all.

It is five as was originally posted. World Warrior isn't a "revision" of anything. To be extra anal, SSFII is subtitled The New Challengers.

I'd hardly call Revival a "revision." Personally I don't count Hyper Street Fighter II either because it's no different from say Vampire Chronicle or (if you want to stretch it) Capcom Fighting Evolutions. No new characters or gameplay changes, just a merger of already existing systems.
